Rank the albums (now that the Avocado has finally settled)
I wanted to give their new album enough time for the newness to wear off before I asked everyone to rank the albums again. So, just rank the eight albums and I'll tally the results in a few days. Thanks guys! Oh yeah, if you are one of those obnoxious types that will, for example, list Yield in all eight positions, please don't bother.
For me:
1. Vitalogy
2. Vs
3. No Code
4. Riot Act
5. Yield
6. Avocado
7. Ten*
8. Binaural
*I love ten, and it undoubtedly has some of their best songs, but I can't stand the production values. It's the only album that sounds dated. I really wish they would give the entire album the treatment they did for Alive, Once, and Black on the Greatest Hits.
For me:
1. Vitalogy
2. Vs
3. No Code
4. Riot Act
5. Yield
6. Avocado
7. Ten*
8. Binaural

8. Riot Act
Riot Act is always at the bottom, the rest are pretty inter-changeable0 -
The last time i did this avacado was #2 and No Code as low as 5. Been listening to No Code a fair bit and forgot what a masterpiece it is really is. Has grown on me the most. Yield is great but there is an awful amount of hype about it. Agree with production of Ten , but it s greatness hard to ignore. Vitalogy always been my fave though and it gets my nod as thier best. Binaural slips ahead of riot act because of how it sounds with headphones! I think some of the things on Lost Dogs could have been compiled to make a stronger album than Riot Act. Maybe Riot Act and Binaural which have similar themes could be fused together to make a great album.
