I know it is pointless but I sometimes find myself wondering if it was bad timing and if we ever might get a do-over. Crazy I know.0

it's not at all crazy. there isn't one of us who hasn't felt the same.
i know its an old used up cliche but looking back on all the do-overs i've wished for in my life, i think i can safely say the the old adage "Everything happens for a reason" actually holds water.
There's a reason why things happen, but most of the time that reason won't become apparent for a long time..way down the road, if we even recognize it at all. but down the road, if you take the time to look back, and look hard, you'll know what i'm talking about.
I've learned recently to look back and recognize that some things that seemed awful and so hard at the time, we actually blessings in disguise.
i'm not much on country music or religion, but i do believe the line in one of those country songs that says, "one of god's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers"
Hang in there, it's hard now. It will all be OK in the end. Things happen for a reason. I'm full of cliches today, but the reason they are cliches is because they've been so often said and the reason they've been so often said is because they are true. everything happens for a reason. a door shut, is another door opened. etc.

Thank youI know you are right but it seems like a long time in between as it has always seemed but I totally know you are right. Also I am trying to write a paper so I am probably looking for a distraction
I recently read something that made a lot of sense and it may be old and a cliche but hey it is good advice...for me at least. "Don't make someone a priority in your life, while you are still an option in theirs."0 -

i live with a native american man, and as far as he tells me, Lakota tradition has it that the original substance in their version of the native american peace pipe was sweetgrass tobacco....when it was used as a peace pipe, which is totally a european view of the whole thing.
In ceremonial usage, the smoke is believed to carry prayers to the attention of the Creator or other powerful spirits. Lakota tradition has it that White Buffalo Calf Woman, brought the Chanunpa to the people, and instructed them in its symbolism and ceremonies. The pipe does not belong to an individual, but collectively by the medicine man or shaman. in the ceremonies and the sweat lodges, other than the tobacco and other herbs like sage, i believe they used marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms (spelling?). at least so ive been told. the shamans used psilocybin to aid them on their voyages to the elders and the gods. (i think i've been there once or twice:shock: )
EDIT ~ WELL...now later, re-reading that, I see that I've provided you all with a hunk of basically useless and boring information. Soooo..what else can I do for you today?Post edited by StillHere onpeace,

"Oh you crazy girl,
you don't know what you do
I thought I'd get away
Instead I fell in love with you"
I dreamt that last night. Can't remember the music to go with it. It was a really ugly bloke singing. Let's hope she got away.0 -

I think this is a direct response to his statement a few weeks ago, something like: 'The Internet is full of people who want you to read that they are incapable of thought!'

I have been known to smoke sage! I knew a cool chick from south carolina y'all with barefeet and native american spirituality who used to blow it in my face at dusk..... And refuse to smoke anything with tobacco. So we used sage and maryjuana. Lost contact with her in the days before Friends Reunited. Dammit, she was gorgeous. Only know her first name and not even how to spell it! I regret our friendship must stay frozen in a haze of heady smoke in 1994!!Cancel my subscription to the Ressurection
