Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

And in calls. As a matter of fact, it counts ALOT then.

if i worried about what the people in my life thought of me, my choices, i'd never stop worrying

    if it's not hurting anyone
    then it's your life
    go with it!

    HERE'S SOMETHING PRETTY COOL,
    well...at least IMO

My daughter who is forever researching our family tree, just confirmed that, so far, our earliest traceable ancestors were Welsh royalty....hahaaaa..OMG too funny
    imagine that....me...royalty
probably the kind that got yelled at
you know, something along the lines of:
    "off with her head!"

anyway, on my mother's side (who would argue to her death that she is not in any way shape or form Welsh, but pure unadulterated Irish!) we have:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gwenwynwyn ... in#Lineage
Gwenwynwyn ab Owain was Prince of Powys, Wales from 1195-1216

He was a grandson of Owain Gwynedd (King of Gwynedd, Wales) and ruled southern Powys from 1195, having taken control following the death of his father Owain Cyfeiliog (prince southern Powys) and was the last major ruler of mid Wales before the completion of the Norman English invasion.

although reading about him, he sounded like either a real badas$ or a majorly f&^k'd up dude....
    FIGURES...

    Regnal titles
    Preceded by
Owain Cyfeiliog Prince of Powys Wenwynwyn
    1195–1216 Succeeded by
    Llywelyn the Great
and then on the other side,my Dad, who was very proud of his Welsh lineage:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Plan ... _Lancaster
    Henry Plantagenet, 3rd Earl of Lancaster (1281 – 22 September 1345)
was an English nobleman, one of the principals behind the deposition of Edward II.
Henry was appointed chief advisor of the new king Edward III of England, and was also appointed captain-general of all the King's forces in the Scottish Marches.
    father of:

    * Henry of Grosmont, 1st Duke of Lancaster, (about 1300-1360/61)
    * Blanche of Lancaster, (about 1305 - 1380) married Thomas Wake, 2nd Baron Wake of Liddell
    * Maud of Lancaster, (about 1310-1377); married William de Burgh, 3rd Earl of Ulster
    * Joan of Lancaster, (about 1312-1345); married John de Mowbray, 3rd Baron Mowbray
    * Isabel of Lancaster, Abbess of Ambresbury, (about 1317-after 1347)
    * Eleanor of Lancaster, (about 1318-1371/72) married (1) John De Beaumont and (2) 5 Feb. 1344/5, Richard FitzAlan, 10th Earl of Arundel;
    * Mary of Lancaster, (about 1320-1362), who married Henry de Percy, 3rd Baron Percy, and was the mother of Henry Percy, 1st Earl of Northumberland.
    peace,
    jo
