    It feels terrible- hurts really bad knowing the time is set now but he's still with you- I forever have my little picture here of Jakey- (shepherd collie chow mix)
    Its hard and sad but you've been a wonderful friend to him and him to you
    on a brighter note
    Lucy our stray Pit/Shepherd mix that came just in time for Christmas past- she has so much of Jakey's mannerisms- or do I just look for them?

    W H Auden argued that you shouldn't write more than one poem a month. I bet he would have been a profilic blogger, though.

    I guess we "publish" all the time on the Internet, but if we really wanted to be published, we'd draft and re-draft our work before daring to give it an airing. (Off-the-cuff doggerel unintended there.) I love this thread because I love the encapsulative potential of the sudden revelation of thought. This thread will produce some great diamonds in the dust, or not! I wonder if anyone's come up with an idea here and gone back to it, polishing it for a bigger work.

    Anyway, back to the instant thoughts! 8-)

    Last night I had a dream about a pair of red shirts.
    They were traded-- his for hers-- and they fit us both.
    The material was the same, but in the dream it was a surprise to me!
    (And I found a lot of letters hidden inside the one that was traded for mine.)
