    jeff rinsed his hair and turned off the water. he stepped out onto the bathmat, grabbing a towel to dry himself with. johnny waited for him to talk.

    'richard was here after you left. i didn't invite him. he just showed up.'

    Johnny said nothing he just stared at Jeffrey waiting for him to go on.He didn't want to tell him that he saw him leave, not yet anyway.

    'you were right about him johnny, i should have listened. he got in my face about you and how i deserved better. and that he was better and all that shit he goes on with. i know i make mistakes. i just don't want losing you to be one of them.'

    Johnny showed a faint laugh of releive. I saw him leave before I came in.
    I know you and him go way back, I also know this wasn't easy, and I would have never had come between you and a friend, he just wasn't a friend. I am glade you got rid of him. I'm sorry for you, but it had to be this way.

    Yeah, pretty much. He said some things that were less than nice, but that is it. I wouldn't worry about him too much. What could he do except gossip us to death?

    johnny still looked far from convinced. but he knew they had to put richard behind them, otherwise it'd just eat himup thinking what the man was capable of. he sighed.

    davey stood wondering how the hell toby had talked him into yet again photgraphing applebite. dex drove him crazy with his behaviour and davey didn't need to be here. for a moment he wished arlo were around to subdue his brother and then he realised that that would mean him thinking of arlo with anna. and that, he didn't want. but this was more than photographing a band. this was a documentary. and davey had never done one of those in his life. but still he appreciated the faith his friend had in him. he looked up to see toby looking at him. toby smiled as if to say hang in there.

    How do you want to go about this Tobi? I reckon it might be best to set up a interview corner in the next room and get some individual interviews first.

    'i don't know davey. how are you gonna handle dex? you think you're gonna get anything useable out of him?'

    toby hesitated, glancing over at dex and then looking back at davey.

    'it's your call. i just think that maybe something a little less ...structured... might be best for all concerned. that is unless you want to call arlo in to deal with animal over there.'

    toby nodded in dex's direction. davey smiled at the reference to the drummer from the muppet show. and he had to admit that at times dex was exactly like the hyper muppet.

    'might be best to just let him follow you around. getting used to you. that way the novelty of having a camera around will wear off...hopefully. and maybe then you'll get some stuff you can use. it's up to you of course.'

    I thought maybe he'd be more focused if it was just us two, no distractions. I don't think Arlo can really calm Dex down, some times his behaviour just gets worse to provoke Arlo. No I think I'll try it my way first. I need a few bears and a room, leave the rest up to me I think I have an interesting idea that should suit him well

    It could be hard, but I haven't really seen them together all that much. I think I'll just go with the flow and take it as it comes. There isn't that much I can do other than that. I don't want to think about it all that much. It is over and this is what came for it, I have to adjust to it. It would have been easier had she picked someone I don't know, but that didn't happen.
