Really cool article about how the posters we all know and love came to be. And my favorite part??? Right at the end by Brad Klausen himself!

One sore spot: Those who sell the posters on eBay for 10 times what they paid at the show.

"You put your creativity into a poster, and this person gets to come along at the last minute and make a profit off of something they had no part of," Klausen said bitterly. "A poster for them is a voucher for cash. Parasites."

So, why don't they print more of them then?

Well thats what makes them so special. Not everyone can have one.

the post suggesting more prints should be run on the 1st edition is quite a relevant point, keep the AP's exclusive and just make more damn posters, they are not special to me because they are so rare, they are special because I like them, not because theres only 200 and I may make a few quid one day on them

The value of the posters now or over time really means nothing to me......its the ability to grab a moment, place and feeling in time blazin in art that does it for me.

Hence the reason its a downer for me that I made the mistake of not buying the poster from my first show ED Solo Toronto 1. Now I have to try and find one which isnt seeming to be easy.

  • Does he remember the first one he did?

Ament wishes he didn't. It was for Pearl Jam's "No Code" tour of 1999.

"A 'Snakeman,' " he said with a smirk. "It was what it was."
