Interesting conversation. I am learning a whole lot here. I work at NASA for a bunch of scientists and I completely stink at Math and Science although it is very interesting. My loves and skills have always been in the arts - playing the guitar, drawing, writing, painting, music in general as far back as I can remember. I was extremely shy growing up, probably because people never stop staring at you when there is someone who looks just like you beside you, makes you feel like an alien (I guess I am working at the right place now!) Looking back I have had many, many situations profesionally where being shy was not an option and it is kinda hard to parent too if you are too timid. I think perhaps being put in situations where we are not as strong or feel less adequate helps us become more well-rounded. Also, regarding the God discussion, I have found time and time again that there have been people put in my life just at the right time and most times I don't figure it out until later. My sister, my friends, and my kids I view as "angels" in a way. I think he lends a hand in different ways to different people based on their need. Below you might find amusing from my 2 kids:
I was praying with my 2 year old at night and I told her God was in the sky in Heaven. She looked horrified and said, "He fall out??!!" I said, no, he is okay. She than said "he get hit by plane??!!"
When we were driving I told my 10 year old that I thought God gave us angels on earth that help us when we need it. The guy next to us on the Harley could be an angel for all we know. She said, "Awwhhh mom, that sucks, first you die...than you have to get a JOB!"
Our love must not be just words, but True Love, which shows itself in action,
No one needs a smile more than someone who fails to give one,
After you die...you know how to LIVE!
