To know
What is
You see
The way
You taste
A touch
And show
The way thing are supposed to be

Will you ever run to hide
How do those burdens dissipate
How do they shrivel and die
What makes you grow
Now glowing from the inside

You’ve made mistakes
An you well know
Don’t want to run
Don’t want to go
This is all a part of you
Don’t pray at night
What will it do

You have made such mighty sins
Sit and wait life to begin
You don’t want to run and hide
You stand up straight
Rebuild your pride

Even though you may not win
He will never let you in
There ain’t nothing to do
The trust is gone
You can not prove

Why not take life in heed
Shadows forecast the days of new
Why stop now to rebuild
Where is your pain
Where is your guilt

I don’t know where it’s gone
You’ve picked up
You’ve carried on

Shine that light
It shines so bright
Show that glory
Display that might

Can’t rejuvenate in redemption
Rejoice the embrace
Doesn’t matter what you try
Doesn’t matter when you die
You will never touch that face

Doesn’t matter just what you do
Glorious example
Lead others through
The only thing I enjoy is having no feelings....being numb rocks!

And I won't make the same mistakes
(Because I know)
Because I know how much time that wastes
(And function)
Function is the key

I like this one alot. It is very good. You are a very good poet Depop. You have quite a gift.
Our love must not be just words, but True Love, which shows itself in action,
No one needs a smile more than someone who fails to give one,
After you die...you know how to LIVE!

sounds like Homer with the Flandereseses

I like your poem happy and sad to me, with more than a touch of hope. Sometimes you can see more in someone than they can see in themselves. Maybe I'm off track, but that's what I am reading.

    ahhh pepsi

yeah, thanks. I kinda lost my train of thought in this one, but it SOMEWHAT loosely inspired by Constantine.

Constantine is a movie, right? I don't think I've seen it.

:) Those words are nearly so regular and insignificant, that I couldn't pick them up as a quote, and still can't think of it. What was Homer doing or what was said before hand to make that your favourite quote?

I've been told it's good, but for me I rarely, if ever, put the words 'Keenu Reeves' and 'damn good' together, so i'm yet to see the video.

I hear yah, but a very interresting movie.

The line was from the episode where Bart gets a big brother. Homer in turn becomes a big brother (fills out the form with a check beside 'revenge' in the 'reasons for joining'). He is explaining/showing the kid the constallations "and that one is liitle cowboy. The kid (Peppe) says "oh pappa Homer, your so learnded" Homer of course corrects him "its pronounced learned peppe....learned" Later Peppe says something along along the line of:

peppe "I love you pappa Homer"
Homer "I love you to Pepsi"
    peppe "It's Pepper"
    Homer "ahh whatever"

    best episode ever.

I once was in the market for hiring personnel. Human resources asked if there was anything in particulat I was looking for. I said "A Peppe or a Tebor (the guy homer blamed everything on at work, yet got promoted before Homer). If there are any applicants by one of those names I will hire them on the spot...no interview." Dhe trully did try to fill my request, to no avail... :(

ahh yes, that is the eposode where he gets into a fight with barts big bro and they use the star fish as weapons, right? Also I think it is that episode where I remember homer bent backwards over a fire hydrant, and what did he say? "this is even more painful than it looks"?

But now I can't remember the Tebor episode :) What if you come acroess someone named Frank "Grimesy" Grimes?

yes yes...I forgot about those parts....what an episode! Even better than the Acid rain one, or when homer works for the spy.

Tebor was in a few episodes, as was grimes (he was in 2 or 3, although 1 was only his headstone). That was awsome when Grimes came over for supper

home shows him pictures of him meeting presidents and his grammy award, and the space thing:
and this is a picture of ....
YOU WERE AN ASTRAUNOT/went to space
    neve been?

oh man...Never been...I love it, but he was not one of my favorite short term characters.

no, he was absolutely aggravating to me. Just wondered if you would hirer him.

perhaps just to fire him. My first day as a manager, I was 17, and one of the the youngest employees. I fired 2 people just to show that it was not a good idea to mess with me just because of my youth. The union was not happy.

I have never claimed to be normal. Get this. I had an extremely high math aptitude in highschool. I took this big international test thing, and never studied or anything. I really did not want to take it, but was pressured into it. I scored in the top 2 percentile. That pissed me off, because I got these damn math/eng/science scholorship offers, and all I wanted to do was take an Eastern philosophy class or two. I had good grades in science and math and calculus (like a 97 over 4 years err something like that), and had low english/lit classes (85-90%), but I always got the praise, and more importantly self satisfaction, in the creative writing areas. If any of that makes sense. I always found it odd that I have a knack for math, but love writing.

me too :) I'm not as smart as you. I cam in the top 2 percentile in the Australian maths comp in year 5, but it was all down hill from there :D, but seriously I am best at maths/scienc, better than my friends, but it's all the arty farty stuff that I love to do even though I'm not as good.
But me, I've done nothing with my life.

true. that is the best part of my life. but that happened very much by accident. Largely out of my control. Although I had to take action to keep it. :) you just made me happy to think about my life. I was just looking at some old poems back around 2000, from probably the worst peruiod of my life, and so many of them are just depressing and unhopeful, and just full of the struggle of someone trying not to lose their emotions and not lose hope in love. I could never have imagined this then. And I wonder about all the people experiencing horrible presents not knowing, and having no way of knowing, what a beautiful future lies ahead of them. They are just trying to get through one more day alive, and i hope they do because its crazy how much things change.

Yes. That for some reason reminded me of the 2 fotprints in the sand then only one set during the hard times. I should try to find that picture. I would love to have a copy of it.

I know its supposed to be all about god, but he isn't the only one who carries somebody when in need.

    ok, this is for you....

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed He was walking along the beach with the his friend. Across the sky flashed scenes from His life. For each scene He noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One belonging to Him and the other to his friend.

When the last scene of His life flashed before Him, He looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of His life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of His life.

This really bothered Him and He questioned his friend about it. My friend, you said that once I decided to walk with you, we'd walk together all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.

His friend replied replied, my precious, precious friend, I Love you and I would never leave you! During your times of trial and suffering when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.

Yeah, but that's weird, cos those Hims and He's are about the guy dreaming, not the lord, so why are they in capitals???

hmm good point. Now its really going to make me think. Perhaps it suggests that god is viewing us as we are to view him. He supposedly dreated us so as to worship him and his word. Maybe they are suggesting that simply because we are His, he is also Ours.
