PJ definitely rocked VHI but...

I was the most impressed with Incubus. I know it has been discussed a little in other threads, but I really think they rocked it. PJ was obviously amazing, even if I wasn't a fan I would rate their performance at the top, but I was just really surprised.

I've been an incubus fan for a long time but I didn't ever imagine them covering The Who and I DEFINITELY didn't imagine them pulling off such a strong, strong performance, in my opinion. I'm sure I'll probably get a little bit of bashing but those boys deserve some props.

Not a fan of Incubus at all but they suprised me as I thought they were going to be horrible.

"I can see for miles" was very good...I liked the trippy sound they gave it.

However..."I Can't Explain" was pretty rough and a fustrating listen.

I think Incubus had the 2nd best tribute of the night. Far behind PJ but PJ freakin nailed their songs. I would seriously pay a few hundred bucks just to see PJ cover all of Quadrophenia but that's a story for another day. ;)

Incubus is one of those bands that you may think doesn't have much talent, but really does. Anyone doubting them should listen to "Sad Sick Little World".

Incubus also covered black hole sun...and it came out pretty good.

meh...I thought Incubus was kinda boring...but I also that that Dave Grohl sounded awful ( I know he was sick or something) and the Flaming Lips were TERRIBLE! Even having been at the show, I wasn't really impressed with anyone other than PJ--and that's not bc I'm a PJ fan...they just sounded better then the other bands...and why, oh why did they not air "won't get fooled again???"

perhaps I'm overly critical?!? oh well!

Same here. I wasn't blown away but I was definitely entertained by them, which is more than I thought I would be. Pearl Jam was the best by far though.

I thought Incubus did a good job. The Flaming Lips, though -- my husband asked me to promise him that we would not be paying any money to see them perform. An evil little voice inside me was hoping that that big plastic bubble would be rolled to the back of the arena....

I think Incubus was much better than the Foo's... They really cleaned up the foo's performance in the editing room, because on Saturday night they were just "OK"....

The FOO Fighters were outragously terrible compared to pearl jam and incubus. In general their music always sounds empty and full of wholes

I guess I am in the minority here, I thought Incubus was pretty weak during the show.

ANYONE on this board could have sung that song with all distortion going through the microphone. Does he always require that for live shows???

The music was okay, but I thought the verse part of I Can't Explain was really empty. Listen again if you disagree.

Incubus was out of their league at the Rock Honors.

I was glad to see Incubus, had been wondering where they had been lately. I LOVE their song "Warning" I thought it never got the recognition that it deserved such a haunting song and video to me. Love the FOOS, knew Dave was sick so wasnt expecting a lot but he is just too damn funny. Saw the Foos in P'cola this year and they were AWESOME.

THANK YOU. Incubus rocked my fucking brains out. I liked them the most because it was such a surprise, you kind of expect Pearl Jam to be amazing, and they were- they definitely delivered. But Incubus flat out shocked me. I love that band.

I thought they fucking sucked. Dave of course didn't take it seriously because he doesn't take anything seriously. He doesn't have to. He's Dave Grohl so he's cool no matter what he does.

Don't get me wrong, I like the Foo Fighters. I have all their albums and have seen them live three times. They're great. But they SUCKED at The Who Rock Honors.

I went to the show, and while Incubus did a great job on I can see for miles, I thought their performance of Can't Explain was the dud of the night. Just didn't seem to capture the vibe of the song... felt a little forced.
