ripped up application
running shoes hung up
shoveling the sidewalk
I wanted to find out when the Cherry Blossom run is held, and I went to the site, and it's filled up already. I've been thinking of this event (April 2nd) since June 2005. Alas, alas, alas. Oh well. I found out if I volunteer at the event this year then I get an automatic entrance into next year, so that's what I'm doing. At least I still get a free t-shirt

III.
Time ravages women's souls
By forcing them to wait in darkness
Until Love grips their Being
love ravages the soul of Delta Blues
but she can sing
There is no such thing as leftover pizza. There is now pizza and later pizza. - anonymous The risk I took was calculated, but man, am I bad at math - The Mincing Mockingbird
too busy to turn on the music
silent blues silence
There is no such thing as leftover pizza. There is now pizza and later pizza. - anonymous The risk I took was calculated, but man, am I bad at math - The Mincing Mockingbird
the blues gone gone
chilly smoke shuffle
the stage vendor trades
gone baby gone
and you took your smoke with you
cigarette ashes

a man's eyes smile
behind fox tail anorak
Blow Out and first snow
man's eyes covered
by the smoke
he took with him
I just can't get those words out "taking smoke with him." It's so bluesy. I love it! Smiling eyes are nice, too, of course

fallen like his broken stool
my scarfed head touches floorboard

It's rare that a one line haiku in English works, but this is very good. It has many layers like a web, eh?

paced thinking in silence
poultice to the healing mind
my scar fed
Oh my I'm feeling like a loser. You started posting before me and you have fewer posts than me. When I started you posted poetry all the time. Shame on me, what the hell do I do with my time . . .

you publish, and I assume you actually pursue poetry
with some other function than my personal emotional binge/purge
blue imagines sky
yellow dreams sun spots rage on
timeless black to blue
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green
blues imagination
turn to spinning black
recording contract

Wednesday

walking barefoot
on a swept sidewalk
stuck and stiff
Walking outside this evening, my man hasn't heard my bell.
Walking outside this evening, my man hasn't heard my bell.
He's playing his own music with another one named Shelle.
I told him that I loved him, but he just packed his clothes.
Yes, I told him that I loved him, but he just packed his clothes.
I saw leaves quickly shift when he slammed the door closed.
I gave him my money.
I gave him my sweets.
I gave him my precious time
that I could have spent with Pete.
Oh, it's time to shut the windows, and take my coat from the rack.
My Pete could massage the aches and pains from my welcoming back.
