    Do lips understand the consequence of a kiss?
    Small piles of flesh, rubbing together
    like continents, grinding mountains of love,
    the erosion of salt sent spiraling
    into a tongue, and all that's left,
    a brief sigh, rumbling like aftershock through the chest.

    If Pearl Jam inspires me to write another poem, should I break my new year's resolution and post it in word and communication? More of a metaphorical question. I have been so non-inspired recently. I should read more, and time still stands still when I read Pablo Neruda poetry.
