allow for individual show poster purchases through big pop?

i'd be more than willing to pay the $60 each to purchase for shows i will be attending, i don't even care about S/N....just avoiding the hassle, and possible shut out, at the shows.. to me, same difference really. it seems soooo many want the same posters - such as the MSGs and mansfields - and the others, not as much. there's just no way i am spending over $600 to get that many posters for shows i would not want, don't want to try and have to aftermarket them, etc.

then again, i don't care about the 'rarity' factor so much, i just like the uniqueness of each poster's art and collecting from shows i attend. just would be WAY easier to purchase in advance...keep the shows about the music only, and sure.....preparty with fellow fans longer. ;) this is the first US tour i am actually trying for posters at the shows, and yes, not looking forward to it. :p

You can buy individual posters from Ames/BigPop the day after the show, but you have to be on the site at the right time, and be quick.

    oh yea?
    i had no idea.
thing is though, for 3 out of 5 shows, i'll be traveling around, sans computer...so no help there. besides, i'll be on vacation....i don't plan on touching a computer, period. :p

just think preorders would be WAY easier, for us...and for them. and yes, i know, MANy like the 'limited' nature...and it still CAN be, just not AS limited, that's all.

Ames will sell some subs, then you can pick up 1 at a show for 1/2 the price that is not signed and numbered, then the day after the shows Ames usually sells more and then 10c will sell more later on. So you have a bunch of chances.

if it were so *easy* to pick up at the shows, i'd be happy! in canada and in europe, it WAS easy! and thus what started my collection habit. i've never bought a poster at a US show - except the gorge 2005, for a friend, and then later i had to rebuy for more for my collection :o. all i read/hear though is what an absolute NIGHTMARE it is to try to get posters at certain shows, most notably MSG. as i am attending both MSGs, mansfield I and DC....plus hartford which i assume will be klausen......i am going to give it my best shot, get there early, etc...but it will suck to miss out as i've read many do, even if they are right there. this is why i never got into the posters.....hahaha.....damnnnn.......

as to the other 'chances' i know they exist, but definitely a LOT more hit or miss. so sure, there are chances......just think, why not make it easier, more enjoyable for all? that's all.

    agree....disagree.....c'est la vie......:p

Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

I have never sprang for the subscription. Too much.
After seeing the last few Ames' series, Im not about to do it now.

I wont bother at the shows, Im there to see the show, not worry about merch.

That being said, the only posters (since the 2000 tour anyway) I have not been able to get for cost are the borgata and camden 1 06. The borgata was expensive-because its an S/N, but I got the Camden at a reasonble price from a board member.

Eventually, and with the exception of the truly outstanding ones (only a few of those each tour anyway) you can get after the shows for a reasonable cost.
Ames have been so hit or miss recently that Im not even trying.
Now is there a Klausen sub? That I would jump on.

seeing as you won't spring for tix to a CHARITY gig, i'd not figure you would. ;) hahaha.

i've gotten most at 'reasonable' costs too...except for a few! however, even reasonable is usually equal to double or around there....would be nice to simply get it direct. eh well. patience for such has never been one of my virtues, but perhaps i will have to learn some. :p lawd knows if i had realized the 10c from now on ALWAYS sells posters later...i'd have held out on buying my fugly nijmegen and gotten it for cost. i didn't know that was a foregone conclusion. eh well. ya live, ya learn. none the less...i still like the idea of making it so much easier and accessible.
