I still cannot, for the life of me, imagine Eddie looking at me. I just can't imagine those beautiful eyes resting on me. It would be too strange, too meaningful for me, and too meaningless for him! You know ladies?? Like you have this relationship with them in your head, but they would just see a stranger they've never seen before! It seems so unbalanced and out of whack . . . Although, maybe they can see from looking at you how much you love them, and they feel a certain connection or empathy because of that emotion reflected back at them . . . or maybe they don't feel anything but the need to get away and get some privacy!
I've always said I'm happy not meeting my heroes, because I like them as they are (lovely, kind and wonderful in my eyes), and I'd hate for my dreams to be shattered by them being short, or disinterested, or annoyed! But the older I get, the more I'm not sure. Maybe I do want to be reflected in Eddie's eyes if only for a moment . . . maybe it would feel life affirming or something, it would be poignant in some way, a validation of my fandom. After I met Mike I did actually get a bit teary because of happiness (yep, MASSIVE DAG). You know? He'd been my hero for SO LONG, and to finally meet him, if only for like 15 seconds, was such a dream, it was so touching . . . Awww little Mikey. He's so lovely . . .
Anyway, I'm not sure why I'm crapping on about this, maybe it's because I think some of you ladies might meet them on the tour, or that you might have Eddie look at you while in the crowd. If any of those happen please note that I would like a step-by-step rundown of exactly what happened and how it made you feel!!!
On a separate note, what are everyone's seats for Wrigley and London??? Did you get good spots??? (And Ocean when are you back??? How was NY and NJ??) . . .

At Eddie's solo show, he definitely gave the audience good eye-contact. At times, It kind of felt as though he would scan the crowd or a row of seats as he was playing. I'm still jealous that he raised his eyebrows and smiled at my dad ...somebody was videoing a row or two back directly behind us and they captured that very moment. I wish I knew at the time that it was possible to download youtube clips, because I would love to see that video again if it hadn't been deleted so quickly!

I wasn't a 10C member then so I bought them on ticketmaster. When I was trying to think of which night to buy out of the 3 shows, I decided to go for the 3rd night because I thought that other fans would probably try and buy tickets for the 1st & 2nd shows. I was absolutely gobsmacked when the seat numbers came up on the ticketmaster page and they were 2nd row :shock: . Over the years when I've bought concert tickets for family members, I've mostly had good luck with being able to get decent seats for them, but never for myself, so I was really shocked to get 2nd row. Even 2+ years on I still can't believe it that I was sitting so close to Ed for that length of time.
My dad was the oldest person we saw there that night, so he definitely stood out . I bought my dad's ticket as a present (b'day or christmas, can't remember), I always tell him that i'll never be able to top that present. He loved the concert, it was a really great night .

Awwwwww!!!!!!!!!!! Hedwich!!! ADORABUBBLE! My love for Stone is growing so much . . . I think with Stone, he can be a bit aloof on stage or something, he doesn't let fans 'IN' as easily as EV and MM (who engage and flirt with us all night), but then when you see him interviewed and stuff he's a darling. Totally genuine and charming. I'm sure he can be a hard-ass but there's a lot of affection and love in him. Plus intelligence and depth. And look at this picture!!! SO SWEET!!! And yep EV looks FUCKING CUTE here too . . .

Elmo I love reading your posts! You put my exact thoughts into words so perfectly! I would hope that if I met Eddie and he looked into my eyes that he would see the love reflected back (but not in a creepy way ). The thought is scary though - what if he was all impatient or feeling "off" or something. I'd hate to be disappointed after our encounter!! What is the story with your meeting Mike? As nerve wracking as it may be it is a risk i am willing to take! Maybe I will luck out with the upcoming shows! London is just 5 days away! And I hope to hit 2 shows this fall....although it may be a challenge to find a show partner for Buffalo since it is during Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. It is only 1.5 - 2 hours from my house though! Then I am going to try to convince hubby to take a little mini vacation to check out another show. I am determined to convert him into a fan!!
