    not official yet. i've sent an email to the place. nothing back yet. will call tomorrow after lunch. got the afternoon off.

    no benificiary yet. there's many on that link newfiegirl mentioned above. if any would like to pick, who would do either nights, let me know! :)

    got an email from Jason, owner of Foufounes Electriques:

    "hey, we are hosting Under Pressure on Aug. 10th. Its a big graffiti event, we cant have 2 events at the same times."

    i replied back if August 9th would be ok for 1 preparty at their place. see if it's ok. :)

    now the hunt for august 10th. does anybody here, from Montreal, know of any local pubs next to the Salle WIlfrid-Pelletier???

    grumpy's, done year's ago, is pretty far to do the preparty. do you guy's want to do it there again? i've never been there before.

    i'm trying, but it's hard to get things all set. sorry. :(

    I've been there a few times and it's a real cool place to hang out. But, again like Grumpy's it's kind of far away.

    If you do have it there there is a good chance my girl and I will show up. :)

    great place, but again, it's pretty far.
    d'oh! i don't want to do the preparty far away from the theatre.
    would want many to come and have a good time, and not worry about walking, or being late etc.. imo ..

    the toronto preparty is set, looking now for benificaries. as for montreal, this is not going so well. :(

    perhaps you could contact the people at Salle WIlfrid-Pelletier and ask them to suggest a place close by? There must be something that isn't too far away. i think that if we are too far away people who don't read the message board would not know about it, and therefore not attend.

    i sent them an email, 2 times .. got nothing back. haven't made a call to them yet.

    just got a pm from a friend that we should check out peel pub. i gotta head out for supper, but will check into that later tonight! :)

    don't give up, all your hard work will be appreciated. :) i have no idea what this place is like, but i found it by searching google maps for all pubs under 1km from salle wilfrid. it says they play rock alternative music and have multiple rooms for meetings so it could be worth checking out. i wish someone from montreal would come into this thread and voice their opinion about a decent downtown venue!

    was recommended if we would like to do the preparties at McLeans Pub on Peel St. he is friends with the manager of the place, and they would like to do it there .. for both nights! :)

    Hey D,

    My friend Jay is the manager at Mclean's pub on Peel St. and he told me that they would hook us up with drink specials and they would also play PJ the entire time we're all there.
    We can probably get all the dvd's to be played on the big screens too.

    I actually called the company that produced "BODY OF WAR" and they told me that they would give us permission to screen the movie but it would cost $700. Do you think this is worth looking into?

    I'm still searching, sending emails, checking for information, but i'm coming out with nothing. :(

    We need to find beneficiaries for both Saturday August 9th & Sunday August 10th preparties.

    If you live close to the area, and know of any non profit organizations that would be interested in our fundraisers, please let me know.

    demetrios you should pick one of those nights to donate money to a cause close to home (NS) or to your own heart. ....... you've definitely gone above and beyond the last couple of tours.

    I've never been there, but that place looks pretty cool. It's close to our hotel too.

    I can't guarantee that we will be there both nights, but we'll try!

    donate away. you won't be steping on my toes. not the type of person for game etc.. it's all for a good cause. to help other's out. to put a smile on other's. that's what it's all about.
