Thanks for posting. That is the best review. She actually gets it. All the rest sound like they were fill in the blanks on some form or something.

One of the best PJ concert reviews I've read ... I am in awe of just how well she captured the raw emotion in a prose format. Wow.

no matter how many times I try to explain "the experience" no one ever gets it.

The writer of this article hit the nail on the head and I forwarded it to all of my friends who question my love for all things Pearl Jam.

As each tour winds down, I read more and more of these type reviews. It is gratifying to read that other people feel and write what you feel, isn't it? Every tour, more people are exposed to what most of us have experienced for a long, long time.

I took a friend to the WPB show, a huge Motley Crue fan, he got it!
He just seemed amazed. He went to the Crue show this past Tuesday, after he said, "it was good, nothing like Pearl Jam." And shook his head.

That is the BEST review in terms of describing the experience I've ever read.

It's been said many times in this thread already, but wow, someone finally "gets it" and was able to write about it so eloquently.

I need to forward this article to everyone I know who asked me "why are you flying from California to the East Coast to see the same band play three times?"

    Great, great article.

"I miss you already" -- So come on out to the West Coast this Fall!!! :)

Loved it!! Thanks for posting that.

I liked this paragraph (maybe cause I sadly relate to it!!):

"could go on and on, but I guess the best thing I can say is that I was really sad when it was all over. I was really sad to see them go. Pearl Jam gave me that teenage feeling (apologies to Sonic Youth) and trust me, I am way on the flip side of teenager. But at those shows, I was right back there, for every single second. Well, until the girl next to me at the last show said “Wow, that’s cool that YOU’RE into Pearl Jam.” Uh … Why is that, I wonder? Do I look too OLD to be a Pearl Jam fan? I just smiled sweetly but I should have said Look, you little (punk), I was listening to Pearl Jam before you were even BORN."
