sweet memorabilia...lucky bastard to have signed stuff
how much did it cost u vs. how much is it worth now you think

Do people really only collect things for their "potential" monetary value on the auction market these days? What happened to collecting memorabilia to actually own it and relive the experience of what it took to get that special momento from your favorite musician/artist/actor/athlete???

I have a few cherished pieces in my collection as well and personally I'm not concerned with how much their potentially worth. I really just enjoy the experience of obtaining that particular item and then being able to look at it for the rest of my life allowing me to relive that experience over and over again. That to me is what collecting "memorabilia" should be all about.

    Peace,

Not to hi-jack this thread, but I wanted to answer for myself. I collect the things that I do simply because I love them and want them for myself. I could give two shits about their monetary value. I can HONESTLY say that EVERY item I have EVER purchased or traded for is for my personal enjoyment, for my own personal museum if you will. So YES, some people do collect for the love it of it! :D

I got the PJ and STP guitars 8 - 10 years ago so by now they are well over what I paid..The Nirvana one was way more expensive due top the fact I got it about 2 years ago and Kurdt was long gone...I paid alot for that one..I came into some money gambling and said fuck it I'm gonna spend the money on something I love...I have a an addiction to autograph guitars....My girl is not allowing anymore of them in the house though...She keeps yelling at me that we do not live at the Hard Rock...If we ever break up my whole house will be as close as you can get to the Rock's....lol

Thanks for sharing your pictures. Very nice.
Not that it matters....but I was just wondering........If I had such an awesome collection.....Upon my demise, I would want to leave it to someone who would appreciate it and hold on to it as well. Have you ever thought about that?
    Just curious.
