OK we're gonna need ALL of your help!

Wanna organise a PJ meet up in November in your locality? Wanna do it for a good cause? :)

Well Hippiemom's anniversary is coming up on the 8th December and, in honour of the pit member and friend we ALL loved and respected, wouldn't it be great to have a get together in her memory and helping out some good causes along the way?

Anyway, I've gotten a list of some of the charities she helped from her family. One of them is wishlist. I'm still waiting to hear back from wishlist to see if they want to take on the financial side of things... so that part is still unclear.

If anyone has any ideas or recommendations in the meantime, please feel free to voice them here!

    thanks :) let's hope it works... I've quite a few people interested already... wanted to fish around before organising it. Josevolution said he'd be willing to coincide the NYC meetup with this! I could try and organise something here...dunno if there are enough of us in the midlands but maybe we could all get together in London?

    I reckon there'd be enough of us. Mark is here that week too. Maybe Pippa could get there? If we could rope in a few more who don't live far away... *cough*JamieUKandJeremy1012*cough* we could get quite a Midlands posse going on :)

    i replied on the halifax given to fly (live) thread. well of a meetup of pearl jam fans to get together before the holiday season. see what eric & laura think of with doing the merchandise for the fundraisers. i'll be down in organizing one here. :)

    Good point! What week? You mean to organise it ON the 8th December? I was thinking more like IN November in order to get the money together by that date... also a lot of people have other commitments in December.

    Well Mark is up on that week, but I'm sure I could get him here earlier if a meet up was in the pipeline...

    some great ideas so far. Urbanhippie came up with if everyone donates something... and then there's £10 charge for the raffle... with 1st prize winning most of the stuff... 2nd gets to choose 2 things and 3rd prize gets to choose 1 thing! Sound good?

    Well you expanded on my idea, and it sounds great. The winner will get their sweaty mitts on a whole haul of stuff.

    I have a few things that could go in the prize pot :)

    this is a great idea, we need a west coast party too! i'd be glad to help organize one, either in the sacramento or bay area, whichever would get the most people. anyone else down?

    Everywhere someone organises one :) obviously I can't organise EVERY meetup :D so it would be up to somebody in each locality to take it on. Like Jose's agreed to help out in NYC... and Jammergirl in the west coast... thank you :) .

    ok will also keep you posted ..now i need all the regulars from the ny area oh wait they are not around anymore :( ...i hope we can get some support if not at least i can send something to Helen to help out with her meet up ...
