You coming up again???? There's no way you remember me cause i met you when you first got to the bar and you had your hands full.I love to turn you on0 -
Steve Dunne wrote:Well considering the bar is on Pratt St. which is in the middle of Hartford, and it's a Friday, you may be wise to get out of work/school/i don't know what you do/etc and get to hartford mid afternoon. Park in a garage or lot. In '06 the owner of Sweet Janes hired a shuttle to drive the PJ fans to/from the Meadows, which is about a 20-30 minute walk. The shuttle was $5 one way, and was well worth it. THe CCFA benefit/preparty was held there and it was a huge success. There have been multiple threads on this if you would like to dig a bit deeper. The lots around the Meadows (Dodge) claim 'no tailgating' but it's not really enforced and the private lots around the venue (Jai-Alai, car dealerships, etc) don't enforce tailgating.
Sweet Jane's hired the shuttle specifically because of the pre-party. If there's going to be another one in Hartford, I'm sure the owner would do it again.Underneath this smile lies everything

Nah, not going to be able to make it this year. June 27th would be cutting it a little close to making it to my wedding on July 5th clear out in Kansas City.Underneath this smile lies everything

I was able to find a private lot (behind a gas station?) to tailgate in before the 2006, no problems, but if I recall correctly none of the lots opened before like 3pm."They said ... timing was everything
made him ... want to be everywhere
there's a ... lot to be said for nowhere."0 -

sounds good. i've been to the meadows a few times, but i've always done - or tried to do - the tailgating thing. but i know people were saying sweet janes was a blast in 06, so maybe i'll give that a shot this time around. thanks man.i'm more a fan of popular bands.. like the bee-gees, pearl jam0 -
