Hey guys. I'd like to see some fellow jammers on here in Hartford. I've been to ten club shows, and talked to all of you on these here old boards for over four years now (dating back to the semi-old boards), but have never really met up wit-ch'all. I've started a Bonnaroo meet-up thread, so I am starting this one too for maybe a lil pre-gaming before the show.....who's with me????!!!!!

Can't wait till the shows.

sweet. I am not familiar with the venue, so I guess I will rely on folks like yourself to maybe decide on a central meeting spot. I wanted to initiate something like this, but leave it not only to myself, but the combined efforts of everyone on here to make this a good meet up!

Well considering the bar is on Pratt St. which is in the middle of Hartford, and it's a Friday, you may be wise to get out of work/school/i don't know what you do/etc and get to hartford mid afternoon. Park in a garage or lot. In '06 the owner of Sweet Janes hired a shuttle to drive the PJ fans to/from the Meadows, which is about a 20-30 minute walk. The shuttle was $5 one way, and was well worth it. THe CCFA benefit/preparty was held there and it was a huge success. There have been multiple threads on this if you would like to dig a bit deeper. The lots around the Meadows (Dodge) claim 'no tailgating' but it's not really enforced and the private lots around the venue (Jai-Alai, car dealerships, etc) don't enforce tailgating.

I walked back from the show in 06.

    It's doable.

Sweet Jane's hired the shuttle specifically because of the pre-party. If there's going to be another one in Hartford, I'm sure the owner would do it again.

Nah, not going to be able to make it this year. June 27th would be cutting it a little close to making it to my wedding on July 5th clear out in Kansas City.

I was able to find a private lot (behind a gas station?) to tailgate in before the 2006, no problems, but if I recall correctly none of the lots opened before like 3pm.
