The Nightwatchman - The Fabeled City (Tom Morello)

Anyone knows when this CD is to be released. Some sources said 30th September and I've ordered it from Play.com thinking it's going to arrive immediately.
According to Play.com it's 2nd February 2009.
Has the release date been pushed back?
I'm a bit confused here. Can anyone help?
Cheers

yeah his first effort took a while to grow, but i really like it. seeing him live blew me away, made me feel like marching straight to the front of a picket line
See These Bones
I guess I'll have to give it a few more listens then.
That's what killed the first album for me, the vocals. Also the fact that he tries so hard to emulate Ghost of Tom Joad Bruce Springsteen that it's just embarrassing.
One Man Revolution was very raw. Certainly if you are looking for quality vocals then don't even bother trying to get into his stuff. But if you like meaningful/passionate folk music then I don't think his lack of a voice should be a problem.
Whoever knocked his guitar playing is a fool. Listen to House Gone Up In Flames from One Man Revolution. I can't listen to that enough because I love how his acoustic guitar just explodes. He backs up his quote "you don't gotta be loud to be heavy as shit" with his playing. Many of his songs from OMR are similar in this regard.
I particularly loved The Road I Must Travel from OMR. I love the Irish feel to it and its uniqueness. And then out came The Fabled City and there were a series of songs building off of The Road I Must Travel and they are great.
The Fabled City is much more developed and has more of a band feel to it. I think Morello and Brendan OBrien did a great job with it. I also think Tom has improved his voice and he's said so himself. Anyways, I love the album and I've listened to it a ton since it came out.
When Audioslave was a band, I never thought Morello would go on to be a better solo artist than Cornell.........
good one!
*wipes away a tear*

It's true though. He created a great formula in the first album of Rage, but he never built upon it significantly.
hendrix had his formula, page has his, SRV has his, and so does morello.
when you hear that guitar, there's only one musician that could be playing it.
See These Bones
testify.
take a good look
this could be the day

i just need to say
we can only assume the poster is either having a laugh and looking to stir up an argument, or is just wholly ignorant and probably loves Pete Doherty or something...
back to school my friend
Agree.
they're walking with a limp
i was thinking the same thing. i think they're just looking to be controversial...
Yes. I'd never seen them before, but went to Lolla this year. So I'd heard rage shows could be rough, so I'm thinking, oh yeah, I'm gonna hang back, way back, during the show; okay, they come out, the first notes of Testify come on, me and my daughter look at each other, and we're like 'let's go' and take off running up the field, to get in the thick of it. I don't even know how we got there. Tom is a unique guitar player and I like his sound. One day I'm going to see one of his solo shows, and am glad I got to see rage finally.
I have the first Night Watchman album and I mean to go get the new one.
