i have live at woodstock 94 on dvd, but only the first 2 or 3 songs play, it was a bad burn. shannon looks realy fucked up for that one. i also have heard about a little concert they did for much music back in the day pretty close to right before he died., id like to get that too.
I have their whole show on VHS somewhere...I should find time to transfer it to the PC
If a man speaks in a forest and there is no woman around to hear him, is he still wrong?
That woodstock show should still be on the tradersden torrent site, in dvd form.. Don't feel bad downloading it (as long as you don't sell it).. The band is very trader friendly.
Soup - One of the best and most under-rated albums of the 90s.
P.S - They are back together with a new singer and new album, and they still kick ass!
OMG...love this thread....
My 3 fav bands are Pearl Jam, Led Zeppelin and Alice in Chains....BUT
Soup is my all time fav album of all time....Blind Melon in fact is in my Top 5...Top 10 fave Bands at the least...but Soup...wow...one of those albums you love to click play and just let it go all the way though....I especially love the hidden song before song 1......press play on song 1 and then press REV until you get the "hidden" song....
Love this album....especially.."New life" 2x4, lemonade, vernie..etc...the whole album is spectacular
"Walk" is one of the best, under-rated songs by Melon. Listen to the words, I still get emotional listening to it, plus there's a nice mandolin in the background.
Also good on Soup is "Toes Across the Floor" and "Mouthful of Cavities".
Soup will forever be etched in my memory from High School. My group of friends all will still to this day name Blind Melon as a favorite. The first time I watched "Letters from a Porcupine" I was stoned out of my gourd and almost died laughing becase of the scene where he has a tinfoil face and holding a baby doll.
Another emotional rarity to find is "Wooh Dog."
I saw the new band this past Spring, and they were better than I expected. The new lead singer brings the energy, and has a sound of Shannon crossed with Perry Ferrell. Worth seeing.

I've seen hundreds of concerts but one band I never got to see was Blind Melon, still bums me out.
