Like a Hurricane on Neil Young's American Stars 'n Bars. The rest of that album is basically a country album(Bite the Bullets kind of a rocker also), but Like a Hurricane really sticks out on that album.
on the cassette version (probably the vinyl version too, i don't have it), "Oceans" opens side two and it works very well.
facepolution, I'm with you on Oceans. I love it now, but I remember when a friend telling me he really liked Oceans and me thinking "of all the songs on that album, that's the one you point out?" I never hated it, just thought it was ok.
The point about it opening the second side of the album/cassette is a good one Muchmouth. It works well that way.
That's another thing we've lost with cds and now mp3s, is the sides of albums/cassettes. I remember in high school talking to friends and saying the first side of "Ten" is fantastic.

I can totally see what you mean on that one although I wouldn't say it ruins it - I guess all the songs are pretty diverse on that record.
Another good call!

How about on Meddle - "Seamus". Ugh.
Good call above with "Mother" from Synchronicity. Its a funny tune, a la "Bugs", but I skip it more often than not.
Typo Man: "Thanks kidz, but remembir, stay in skool!"
considering the b-sides from this record, it could have been better than kid a......yeah, I said it......
