I'm pretty sure a majority of those bands where mentioned through out this thread....
BUT C'mon has not and they do deserve props! They have a 7' split with the Hot Live Guys that is the "Bollocks"!
I know most if all of these have been said before, but;
Kyuss
Fu Manchu
Brant Bjork
Nebula
The Sword
Orange Goblin
Taint
Dozer
Slo Burn
QOTSA
Monster Magnet
Clutch (granted, not classed as true Stoner, but still amazing!)
There will be others I've missed, but a decent list to start off with!
Not so much stoner metal but the best stoner rock gotta come from Clutch, start with Electric Worry.
Stunning stuff.
Oh Clutch - I LOVE THAT BAND!!
My neice is off to Maryland university in August for a year - hoping to visit and see Clutch in their home state.
Yep,my friend just let me hear them not so long ago.I was instantly hooked.
Cool, enjoy your trip and hope you see them.
I don't think you can help but be instantly hooked - saw them 5 times this year. Each gig they seem to pull out a song I haven't heard live before, I shout for Gulla each and evry show - but I'm still waiting to hear it!

This is just g'bye for now...
"ISIS, the innovative Los Angeles-by-way-of-Boston-based band, has set a May 5 release date for its much-anticipated new album, "Wavering Radiant" (Ipecac Recordings). The CD, produced by Joe Baressi (TOOL, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE), will receive a limited-edition vinyl release on April 21. TOOL's Adam Jones contributed guitar to two songs from the LP."

"This is a better sonic representation of what the band actually sounds like. In the past I think some of the recordings were a little too clean in their final form," Vocalist/Guitarist Aaron Turner says. "There was something about the energy that seemed to be lacking. It seems to feel more like us than anything else has."

Wow dude
thanks for that
got a source?
this is something to look forward too, although I have not loved another album by Isis as much as I have loved the Red Sea.
As well not sure if its been mentioned but Cursed is pretty awesome or... at least was RIP- Cursed
I'm not 100% sure if they technically meet the criteria for "stoner" or not, but I do find it a little hard to believe that Torche wasn't at least mentioned yet. I guess I'm linking to their myspace for the second time today.

And no, I don't work for them. But my record store did close last month, so maybe I should send them a resume
Saw them support Isis, but they lost a guitarist as he was in a crash or something so they played as a 3 piece, was alright but would have been better as a full band.
It's not on that page, but "Wendigo Pt.1" is fucking epic.
Bison BC is awesome Masa the bass player is a pretty good friend of mine! If anyone has the chance to see them Live they rip it up!!
on a side note I thought Torche was mentioned, but if not I second that they are awesome! Just phenomenal, guitar warp with a pop over tone... either way they are worth checking out!
