Thanks! I'm really hoping that they play "Immortality"- not holding my breath though (from the looks of their recent set lists)

Well, I ended up going to the show last night and I wasn't disappointed at all. They didn't play "Immortality", but they did play AIC "Nutshell" and destroyed it! My only complaint about last night was that the show was too short- they played for about 75-80 minutes. I guess I'm just spoiled with bands like PJ that always play 2.50 hours at every show.

I had a great time last night and I'd recommend to everyone that likes this band to go see them live if they come anywhere near you.

I'm glad you enjoyed the show.

I think it's nice for a band like Seether to cover some of the songs they have. Obviously they were heavily influenced by these bands so I think it's great they're showing them the respect they deserve. They typically go for some of the more obscure songs which makes it that much better. At least they're not covereing Alive and Smells Like Teen Spirit.

I was thinking the same thing last night when they play "Nutshell"

  • "Fake It" is one of the best songs on the radio now. I crank that CD up all the way when I'm jammin. Just watched Single Video Theory last night for old times sake as well.

Glad you enjoyed it. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw them for free by winning tickets. I am going to make a big effort to get down to seattle and see them in december. Fake it does rock!!

Hey, you almost got deleted from my Myspace for posting that cover. lol. I'm not a fan of theirs, but I guess it's cool if they wanna pay tribute to the band by playing their song...but get the fucking lyrics right. Nothing annoys me more then when a band covers a song & screws up the lyrics.
"Oh, a flower you are to my land..."
  • I have seen them on 4 different occasions and I like them live. Good bunch of guys too...hung out with them after X-fest in Dayton, Ohio...fun times
I'm trying to drink away the part of the day I cannot sleep away...

Hey! I was just so excited about seeing them! And they put on one hell of a show. At least we can all agree on PJ, right?

  • i like them. . .ive seen them twice, once 4 years ago opening up for 3 doors down, when i didnt know them that well, they kicked ass and were much better than 3dd. . .then i saw them 2 years ago headlining with shinedown, and in this case i thought shinedown was much better than seether, doesnt suprise me the singer was in rehab, it seemed like he was wrecked at this show. . .both times i saw them they did nirvana covers, first time "you know your right", second time "heart shaped box". . .the singer does sound strikingly similar to cobain, especially live. . .plus it seems like he's got some kind of obsession with him, he dresses like him in magazine articles, the set from that last show was very similar to nirvana's from the in utero album. . .just bought the new album, first listen i dig it, thinking about going to see them if they come around this neck of the woods
i have wished for so long, how i wish for you today

Really, I guess anyone can compare any two things, but usually when I compare two things they are similar- this is like comparing Nickelback to PJ.

Seether blew 3DG away tonight in Van. Can't believe I even stayed to watch the
"headliners." What a pathetic band they are.
There is something about seether, maybe it is the voice or melody, that appeals big time. Check out their cd's if you haven't already. Shouldn't disappoint!
