I´ve read a few times here that this movie works best on a big screen so you probably should see it in the theatre first and watch the dvd for free later!

Besides..... you probably can´t wait till it comes out on dvd anyway! :p

Writing is good for you- but I prefer to teach the 4 paragraph method. You'd be surprised, or maybe not surprised, on how many kids these days do not know how to write. How sad. Damn texting! :)

This is so true. In all seriousness, DroptheLeash10, knowing how to communicate clearly is a huge advantage, not just to pass a class, but in life. We can just look at the impact of the lyrics of the Pearl Jam songs that have moved and inspired us, to see the power of well-crafted words.

And, btw in college, writing multiple 15-page papers and reading a couple books in one week is common. Wish I had gotten more good writing instruction and practice in high school.

I think that Krakauer should stick to writing articles and stay away from books...terrible writer in my opinion. Thought the movie was way better than the book. When I read Into the Wild it felt like I was reading some court case files, not very descriptive or imaginative...just informative. I know some of you love his writing and I respect that so please don't bash me here :) but he just doesn't do it for me. Movie was amazing though!

I felt it portrayed them in too negative a light and in reality they are not that bad.

Yeah i went to see it with my gf and both of us loved it. She isn't very much into these kind of movies, meaning she's more into movies that don't challenge her, that just pass by. Not saying that she's shallow or anything, that´s just her taste in movies. But as i said, she loved it and couldn't stop talking about it.

Also it was weird going to a movie and paying such extreme notice to the score.

All in all it was just a great movie and the music didn't disappoint either :)

Also it was great to hear one of my all time favorite country songs "Angel From Montgomery" by John Prine :)
