  • Here are my faves:

Facelift: It Ain't Like That, Confusion

    Dirt: Junkhead, God Smack

    Sap: Brother, Right Turn

Jar of Flies: Nutshell, Don't Follow

S/T: Shame In You, Head Creeps
    NERDS!
  • you have an addiction to seattle based bands...without AiC??

    woah. *mind officially blown*

    1. been said, but they only have 4 albums: facelift, Dirt, Jar of Flies (ep) Sap (ep) and Self-titled (or Tripod) they also have Live, and Unplugged...oh, and the various "Best Of" which include maybe one or two soundtracks or singles or whatnot...so, given that to come up with 3 albums seems silly...might as well just go with a greatest hits and figure out if you like their style. *please note - they are more than just "Rooster" *

    2. 3 best songs? hmmn, this is subjective and depending on style that you savor, and how much relevance you place on popularity of songs...

    my favorites:
    Facelift:
    Love Hate Love
    Real Thing (rather underrated)
    Sea of Sorrow

    Dirt:
    Angry Chair
    Dirt
    Hate to Feel
*there are so many others from this album...really this is a must have album.

    Jar of Flies:
    Don't follow
    No Excuses
    Rotten Apple
*there are only a few more songs on this album...it's an EP

    Sap:
    Brother
Got Me Wrong* fav. all time song
    Am I inside
*once again this is an EP

    Self-Titled:
    Sludge Factory
    Brush Away
    Head Creeps
*this album showcases the height of the descent...it should also be considered a must have.

well, there you go...hope that helps.
seriously, tho you might want to just get the greatest hits and see if you like the general MOOD of this band.

pretty good list, but you have to include Rooster...it was their big hit.

And yeah...it is one of those bands that my favs change lots...everything they produced was good.

1-DIRT - tough call, solid album...one of the best of all time - Down in a whole
2-JAR OF FLIES - No Excuses
3-AIC - Heaven Beside You (Over Now a close second)
4-FACELIFT - Man in the box
5-SAP - get me wrong (brother would be close)

Born again is also superb, but I believe only in the boxset.

Just check them out on youtube.

The only thing I enjoy is having no feelings....being numb rocks!

And I won't make the same mistakes
    (Because I know)
Because I know how much time that wastes
    (And function)
    Function is the key

Tripod (self titled) - Grind, Frogs, Again

Whats a real crying shame is that the '98 recording sessions didnt continue. Get Born Again and Died are two of my favourite AIC songs, shame that Layne wasnt up to working. Boggy Depot, Jerry's solo debut from around that time, would've been so much better with Layne's vocals on it
"...though my problems are meaningless....that don't make them go away...."
  • Ok.. I am not very familiar with this band... I want to get some of their best music and give them a chance.. I am thinking I will probably like them because off my addiction to Seattle based bands... So I would like to know two things...

    1. What are their 3 best albums (in order)
    2. What their their best 3 songs in each of those albums (1 song from each album)

    1. Dirt - Jar Of Flies - Alice In Chains
    2. God Smack/Rain When I Die - I Stay Away - Heaven Beside You

WHAT IN GODS NAME, HAVE YOU DONE!!
I don't want to be the fool that's behind me but I am...

    I'll Hold The Pain... Release...

Anything and everything from AIC will not dissapoint...one of my fav bands ever...
I'd start off with Facelift but yet Dirt is a classic...heck they are all awesome..

As well it's not AIC but check into Mad Season as well.... Layne does Vocals
