Late for the Sky by Jackson Browne. It's also a great drinking album, depression album, plotting the murder of presidential candidates album etc.
"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"

haha seriously? i never would have thought that album would be good to drive to. running on empty is one of my faves to take on the road, however, so maybe ill take your word for it.

I think it's just because I love his voice and I love singing along. Nothing better than just belting out the lyrics to the title track, however depressing they are.

"All the words had all been spoken,
Somehow the feeling still wasn't right
And still we continued on through the night.
Tracing our steps from the beginning,
Until they vanished into the air
Trying to understand how our lives had led us there."

Juicy is the best song for all occasions but driving is particularly good. If the entire occupants of the car don't shout along "IT WAS ALL A DREAM" then they should be eradicated.

Seriously, best song in the world. Top 2 maybe.

If they all cant sing every word, I'd be hesitant to let them ride with me
