i don't know why you wanna argue with me on which music i prefer. this is all personal preference here. it's not like this is going to be published in a book or anything. i just happen to not like rap music and personally i would rather listen to the first two oasis albums over any rap cd.....sorry didn't know it was a crime.
you are completely missing my point here. YOU started this argument by questioning a guy about why he listed so many rap albums in his favourites. you were the one that suggested people's own opinions are inherently wong because they do not adhere to yours. I am not talking preferences here, I don't expect you to like rap more than oasis, I just find your claim that you KNOW there are no better rap albums than oasis albums to be either wrong or an indication that you have listened to every rap album ever made, in spite of the fact that you don't like the genre. I am assuming it is the former, yes?
I personally couldn't care less if you don't like rap or merely prefer oasis, I just resent the notion that other people shouldn't listen to what they want to just because you don't like it. sorry if you can't understand my grievance here.
"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"
it's a matter of opinion and you're entitled to your own. i'm just being an argumentitive dickead right now. but that's how i feel. i will say however that i think whats the story and definitely maybe are better than any rap album ever made if it makes you feel better.
furthermore i think i stated in the thread starter that this is your "personal favorites" list so don't mind me. you can like what you want. i guess i just like giving people a hard time.
so i guess you just read what you wanted to because this was part of the original statement i made about the rap albums that started this argument. so anyway i'm done arguing with you.

ah yes... the classic "anyway, I don't care, I'm above this sort of arguing thing", which, incidentally, normally rears its head when someone decides their argument is bull.
nice talking to you anyway.

which further makes you seem like an arrogant tosser. I believe I remained polite throughout this conversation. its a shame that you had to end it on such a moronic note. had you merely disagreed with me but in an intelligent way I might have retained a shred of respect for you. as it stands, I don't really have time for people whose preferred comeback is "fuck you".

i don't know why you had to get involved but yeah, if it makes you feel better i'll come out and admit it right now.....i have nothing left to say. it was like beating a dead horse. did you see the bickering going on back in forth with that argument. i said all i needed to. i don't listen to rap music and therefore i'd rather listen to oasis. plain and simple, argument over. i told him the argument was over and i got a smartass comment, so i gave a smartass response. but anyway this thread was supposed to be about you're favorite albums, apparantly i inadvertantly started an argument, so i tried to end it, do you really have a problem with that....

i wouldn't say it's underrated. but it definitely is a great album. probably my favorite petty album, or maybe number two. but anyway, it's great for a scenic summertime drive through the country with a nice joint........LETS ROLL ANOTHER JOINT AND TURN THE RADIO LOUD!
anyway this thread was supposed to be about you're favorite albums, apparantly i inadvertantly started an argument
yeah, because you asked what people's favourite albums were and then acted like they were wrong for listing some albums that you didnt like. can you not see where I'm coming from here?
oh and if this is going to prompt another witty response to rival "haha, fuck you" then don't bother. I can always listen to some hinder or blink 182 if I want to experience that level of intellectualism.
am I coming across as an antagonistic prick here? if so, that's not my intention, but ultimately I'm pretty confident that I'm in the right here.

as a matter of fact you are coming across as an antagonistic prick. i'm gonna go against my better judgement and respond to you one last time because you can't seem to get over this. it's not that i couldn't see where you were coming from if i did act like people were wrong for liking certain music. but i stated before you even started arguing with me that i was just being an argumentitive dickhead to pjoasis and that he can like whatever he wants and that i was just giving him a hard time. i guess that wasn't good enough for you even though nothing was even directed at you to begin with. anyway i regret saying it in the first place, because maybe it came off as condescending and it lead to this stupid argument, but i just did it because i was surprised that someone on a pearl jam message board had so many rap albums as part of his ten favorites. and at the same time i let it be known that i was just giving him a hard time and that it was all a matter of personal taste on this thread. i'm also 100% sure that i already told you this and you keep arguing in circles like i never made these statements. i don't get what you are looking for me to say but it's over. so for the love of pearl jam can you just drop it, you keep repeating yourself. i get it. it's over. now feel free to get the last word in cause i know you've been dying to do so.
