-Lars Frederickson (Rancid) at Warped Tour 2001. he was such a sweetheart:)
-Kelley Deal (The Breeders/The Kelley Deal 6000). Met her after the The Breeders Austin show back in 2002. She was the only member of the band who stayed after they finished their set and chatted with all the fans and asked for our input She asked me and this girl standing next to me how her violin playing was she was very laid back and very down to earth.
-Atom Willard (drummer from Moth/Rocket from the Crypt and now The Offspring): I corresponded with him off and on during 2001/02. He was a nice fellow.

Yeah, when I met him, he hardly even said hello.
And when someone asked if he could sign some autographs (there were only 7 fans standing there) he didn't reply and just got in his car.
Not to dismiss your experience, but a couple people have vilified Anthony Keidis on this thread, and I've got to say, I knew him for a brief while and found him to be remarkably kind, generous, and easy going...to friends, fans, and strangers.
Besides Anthony, I once worked at a drug store when David Lee Roth came to my register to buy a hairbrush. If you've kept track of Diamond Dave's hairline you can guess how long ago that was.
I met a singer-songwriter named Todd Snider. Do yourself a favor and try and do the same.
And, of course, there was Scott Weiland. Scott and I discussed facial hair and the proper way to clean a toilet.
I once drove Angelo of Fishbone home from a poetry reading because he was too cocktailed. The only person I've ever seen get shit-faced at a poetry reading.
Oh yeah, I met Mojo Nixon at a bar in Oceano (south of San Luis Obispo). Mojo says, "Hi."
