  • I'll be attending the Regina Show floor seats 10th row center. They call the place the "Brandt Center at Ipsco Place" but its just the Agridome. Small venue, you can almost see the sweat on Gords brow Atleast thats how it was for phantom power... How many shows have you seen?

    Greatest Hip songs:

    Nautical Disaster
Escape is at Hand for the Travellin' Man
    Pigeon Camera
    The Dire Wolf
    Family Band
Last Night I Dreamed You Didn't Love Me
    Long Time Running
    Yawning or Snarling
    Are We Family
    Bobcaygeon
    Opiated

This list could go on forever, but I'll leave it at that for now. As for the upcoming tour, I'm seeing one of the Calgary shows this Sunday, but I'm afraid I'm gonna have to skip the big arena tour this time out (don't have the funds). But I'll definitely be travelling across the border in '07 when they tour our big bad neighbor to the south. There's nothing like seeing the Hip up close and personal in a small venue.

I've seen them at Molson Park years ago ('97 or '98 I think), and at the ACC (the One Night in Toronto DVD from the greatest hits box set). Totally awesome both times!

And to the poster who mentioned Grace, Too.......we should all be ashamed at ourselves for letting this thread go as long as it did before someone said that song......it's simply amazing!!

I have to admit, I'm not a huge fan of the new album, but I AM NOT one of those "I only like their old stuff..." Seen em 30+ times and counting. Top 10 of the moment, in no order:

    Grace, too
Gus: The Polar Bear from Central Park
Locked in the Trunk of a Car
    No Threat
    Last of the Unplucked Gems
    Trickle Down
    Chagrin Falls
It's a Good life if you Don't Weaken
    The Kids Don't Get It
    Fully Completely
and my girlfriend would say Wheat Kings

This does not include live versions, rarities or covers.

The only one on that list I haven't heard is Dante ... Actually, I haven't heard Ultra Mundane either.

yeah, I checked out some of their stuff with all the threads here, I like it.

The New Orleans song jumped out first...I like it, very kinda bluesy and building.

not to pick on Canada...but I hear a definite Guess Who sound from these guys, very cool.
Teamwork. Rawk. Pwnage. Infinite Possibilities. YIELD. Hells yeah.
