  • I don't like making lists.

Bands I like right now are: Destroyer, Great Lake Swimmers, Rheostatics, Wayne Omaha, Tapes n Tapes, New Pornographers, Stars, Swan Lake, Animal Collective.

There is no order. I like them all.

active bands eh? i'll give it a shot:

bands that are active and making very exciting new music:
    hold steady
    brand new
    silverchair
    the roots
    lupe fiasco
    kanye west
    wilco
    bright eyes

bands still active whose new albums i love but are more fond legends than really producing anything new:

    tragically hip

they're not in any particular order though.

the past 6 months have been mostly:
    drive-by truckers
    eddie vedder
    uncle tupelo
    chesterfield kings
    frank black
    radiohead
    buffalo tom
    regina spektor
    the band
    hedwig soundtrack
2-10 combined wouldn't equal the truckers in actual hours spent listening. and i can't believe waits and westerberg are both absent.
