I never cared to look up the lyrics to Blinded by the Light, but just yesterday I learned what they are actually singing.

Song: Revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night

What I always heard: Woke up like a douche in the middle of the night.

Yikes I dunno how I misheard it that wrong haha. Makes sense why I never understood wtf he meant

Going to pretend you never posted the real lyrics lol. That fact that it doesn't say douche kind of ruins the whole song for me haha

When I was a kid, "I'm Still Standing" by Elton John sounded to me like "I steal diamonds."

Misheard?  Or was Joe just getting out there a bit?  You be the judge!

“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.
