    Rancid- Maxwell Murder

Absolutely sick bass solo by Matt Freeman in this song. He's hands down the best bass player in the world.
It makes much more sense to live in the present tense.

    Victor Wooten - Amazing Grace

And I do love the intro to 'Sweet Child O Mine', what duff plays underneath the guitar.

    I agree, there
No dispute though, the guy is absolutely awesome. I watched a bunch of youtube clips of guys trying to do maxwell murder, but didn't see a single one that came relatively close to Matt.

Check out "sting of the Bumblebee" by Joey DeMaio from Manowar.

I know, obnoxious band, but the guys talented.

    Has anybody mentioned Les Claypool?

I was looking for this one! My fav bass player in the world I will still give to Flea but Freeman does give him a run for his money. I credit those two with indirectly teaching me the bass as all I ever did was try to get their licks down when I first started.
    Which came first,
the bad idea or me befallen by it?

Jaco's song "Crisis" is one of the most insane things ever put down on a record. An entire bass line of 16th notes for a whole song.

I have it. I'm not a huge fan to be honest. I thought that it was too sparse. none of the songs really grab me. there's nothing exactly WRONG with it but it isn't something I can get into. I love his bass lines in Fugazi though.
