Cry, if you want to cry

    If it clears your eyes

Hate, if you want to hate
    If it keeps you safe
    If it makes you brave

Take, if you want a slice
    If you want a piece
    If it feels alright

    Don't come over here
    And piss on my gate
    Save it just keep it
    Off my wave

Yes, I like Audioslave. I've practically been sucked into almost all 184 threads on this board in their name. Now I have to address this bit below:

    here's the audioslve structure:

-set the tempo at something like 98-130
    -main riff
    -verse
    -chorus
    -verse
    -chorus
    -bridge
    -solo
    -quiet verse or chorus
    -loud chorus

    every fucking song.
This made me laugh so hard because it's SO TRUE! Especially the "quiet verse or chorus" part.

You, chrisopalooza, are a musical scholar!!!
"I'm here to see Pearl Jam."- Bono

...signed...the token black Pearl Jam fan.

haha thank you, but sometimes i am too much of an asshole.

    :) cheers
  • based on cornell's talent...after hearing what he's done with soundgarden and his solo career, audioslave looks like a publicity stunt in his collection of work. i have always thought tom morello was a rediculously overated guitar player, which he still is, and an even worse song writer. here's the audioslve structure:

-set the tempo at something like 98-130
    -main riff
    -verse
    -chorus
    -verse
    -chorus
    -bridge
    -solo

    -loud chorus

    every fucking song.

even the ramones who barely knew what they hell they were doing mixed it up.

    just my opinion!!!

And the totally formulaic nature of the music is odd, in that Soundgarden was nothing like this. Who knows ... Soundgarden did break up, and maybe Cornell's goal is to make more conventional music at this point in his career.
Oh, and that Live in Cuba DVD sucks ass. It really does.
  • IMO, it's the band's problem. They should go separate ways.
