tea party

Check out teaparty.com I first saw these guys on Much Music in the early 90s. They are huge in Canada and I can't see why they haven't done better in the states.

The Tea Party are one of the most underrated bands of all time. I saw Jeff Martin play solo last week and he was awesome of course. The guy can play guitars like no other."...follow the strangest tribe..." - pj

I tweeted to Mike and Stone 6 days ago that they should go check out Tea Party, as they are playing the Showbox tonight. Coincidentally or not, The Tea Party just tweeted out "pearl jam, as requested, you are on the guest list for tonight's show".Hugh Freaking Dillon is currently out of the office, returning sometime in the fall0

Saw them for the first time on Saturday night and I was pretty much blown away by how good their show was. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0

first time? wow. yes, they put on a great rock show. and you picked a great first show to go to, playing Transmission front to back. I missed the Winnipeg show, I was in Mexico.PJ_Soul said:Saw them for the first time on Saturday night and I was pretty much blown away by how good their show was.

I got stuck at work and couldn't make the show last night in Seattle. Really bummed. My buddy, who is a huge Tea Party fan was "Drum Tech for a Day" for Jeff Burrows:

Hi, LAST CALL- this went so well on the first 1/2 of our tour I decided to open it up to more markets on the second 1/2 of the tour that never got filled.
If you are interested in either Regina, Grand Prairie, Red Deer, Edmonton, Calgary, Kelona, Victoria, Seattle, or Los Angeles, please PRIVATE message me if you are interested in the "Drum Tech For A Day" opportunity (under the guidance of my drum technician).
This is a fundraiser that costs you a $1000 donation, and goes towards St. Clair College's academic excellence and student life initiatives. It's a very unique and fun experience that a couple people are coming to do again.
You will receive the following in the city of your choice (unless it's already sold):
-A "Working Pass"
-Change Snare Head
-Wrap sticks for show
-Polish the drum shells for show
-Polish cymbals for show
-Photo Opp with band on Stage
-Photo Opp behind the drum kit solo
-Photo Opp behind the drum kit with myself
-Arrive at Venue for soundcheck at 3pm - *Subject to change
-Leave premises at 5pm - *Subject to change
-Return for show at 7pm - *Subject to change
-Sit behind Jeff Burrows' drum kit on throne for 1st set
-Sit side-stage for 2nd set

I know we get spoiled with the PJ boots, there's a couple of decent sounding shows on dime from this tour though, just grabbed the Winnipeg show. The live in Australia record is excellent as well.
