New White Stripes Album!

I'm very excited for their new album. I'm a huge White Stripes fan, I hope this album is as good as most of their other ones.

    the notoriously fast-working band mentions that "it was the longest time the delightful duo have ever spent in the studio, totaling almost three weeks."

    oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

    F*!k ya! Thanks for the post. Can't wait to see them live again. I know it's been posted before, but if you haven't seen them live before....or if there's one show to see live this year.....don't f*!king miss 'em. Jack will blow you away like know one I've ever seen, and I've been going to shows since AC/DC's first American tour (opening for Aerosmith). The dude is on fire.

    Wow, 3 weeks in the studio for them.

    10+ yrs for Guns N' Roses. If only my fav. band in the world could get some tips from Jack.

    But anyway, Yay! I love the white stripes and can't wait for this album.

    Agreed PearlStripes... I cannot waaaaait to see them live again!! Absolutely phenomenal. Jackie White must be seen to be believed...and even then....:eek:

    Killer... hopefully they don't use the same recording as GBMS... it sounded like they recorded that album in a sneaker.

    I hope they return to their roots and go away from the piano based Get Behind Me Satan. They're probably my favorite band and have been for a while. GBMS is my least favorite of their albums, even though it was still a very good album. Great news!!!

    Good news. Glad the hiatus wasn't extended, given the success of The Racounteurs. I didn't even know the Stripes were in the studio, nevermind finished.

    Yeah, it's funny, I got the Raconteurs album when it first came out, didn't care for it much and put aside. Recently, I gave it another shot and have found that I really like it. Funny how that happens with albums sometimes...

    From Broken Boy Soldiers I like 'Broken Boy Soldier', 'Intimate Secretary, and 'Blue Veins' that was it. It was decent though I guess. I hope the Stripes have done some weird shit this time around.

    raconteurs album is a brilliant piece of work :):)

    This was figured with the folding of V2 records and them becoming free agents. Plus their announced date at Bonnaroo. Very excited here.

    I Think I remeber GBMS taking about a month and I thought "WOW"! But three weeks??? They are an amazing duo!

    When do you think it will come out? Before or after Bonnaroo?

    Most of their albums took about a week to bang out.
