“Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you’ve got about a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies — ‘God damn it, you’ve got to be kind.’” - Kurt Vonnegut

Caesar Romero's Matamoros album sounds very sinister, came across it by chance in the basement of a record store closedown. A headfuck-full of songs, not sure how to describe them, maybe twisted latino caberet, Ennio Morricone crack-addled on cold turkey or something like that.

It is time to admit that we used to rock like hurricanes. It is time to run for the hills and go round and round. It is time for us to shout at the devil. We've got the right to choose it, there ain't no way we'll lose it, and we're not gonna take it anymore.

Best stalker song: "Does Everyone Stare?" by The Police.

I change my clothes ten times before I take you on a date
Im in a cold sweat, I panic, and it makes me late
I knew you never asked for this
    I know
    My shots will always misfire
    My shots will always miss

Does everyone stare this way at you?
I only look this way at you

I change my clothes ten times before I take you on a date
I get the heebie-jeebies, and my panic makes me late
I break into a cold sweat reaching for the phone
I let it ring twice before I chicken out and decide youre not at home

Does everyone stare the way I do?
I only stare this way at you

I never noticed the size of my feet
Until I kicked you in the shins
    Will you ever forgive me
    For the shape Im in?
    For the shape Im in...

Does everyone stare the way I do?
I only stare this way at you

Im wanna write you a sonnet but I dont know where to start
Im so used to laughing at the things in my heart
Last of all Im sorry 'cause you never asked for this
I can see Im not your type and my shots will always miss

Does everyone stare the way I do?
I only stare this way at you

Also creepy: "Mother" by The Police.

hard to imagine how you mentioned 2 Police songs but not Every Breath You take, the quintessential stalker song
"Stunned by my own reflection, It's looking back, sees me too clearly and I swore I'd never go there again, Not unlike a friend that politely drags you down, down, down"

When you see me on the street, yell out "FAVO!!!"

I've been to alot of Pearl Jam shows; So fucking what.

    Jethro Tull....Aqualung

    Sitting on a park bench
eyeing little girls with bad intent.
    Snot running down his nose
    greasy fingers smearing shabby clothes.
    Drying in the cold sun
Watching as the frilly panties run.
    Feeling like a dead duck
spitting out pieces of his broken luck.

lyrically it is a little dark but musically I don't think Aqualung is creepy at all :)
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
  • Actually, if we're talking lyrically I think Acid Bath win hands down...

    some snippets for y'all ;)

    'Jezebel'

    "Shards of teeth
    Ice pick abortions
    Orgasmic death so warm
    Lets die screamin'
    Black goat semen
I can't hear you whisper "conform"

Hearts will stop and brain cells pop
    Apocalyptic high

She screams bloody murder as they chop off her fingers
So this is how it feels to die

    She was screaming about conspiracy
    Talkim' about taking sides
    I was masturbating, just contimplating
    The cold love of suicide"

    'God Machine'

    "The God machine is hungry
    For individualism and ripe brains
The skull farmers do their rain dance
And pray the machine falls to sleep
    She holds me close
    And whispers wet
    "there are cannibals among us."
Mad in love with dry dead boys
    In the backs of
    Abandoned cars
    Smoking the bones of children
    Plotting the murder of love"

    'Dead Girl'

"Life dries cold beneath the dead soul lights
She asked if it would hurt
    I smiled and said no
The lie ran down my chin like embryo
    She smiles like a corpse
Like zombies eatin' dust in Mexico
Life dries cold beneath the dead soul lights
When death sleeps, it dreams of you"

Thing is with Acid Bath is that they're not just some screamy metal band, they actually are haunting and chilling. Partly due to good writing but mostly down to Dax Riggs' vocal talent.

  • here are some creepy lyrics:

Alice Cooper, I Love the Dead:

I never knew your rotting face
While friends and lovers mourn your silly grave
I have other uses for you, darling
    We love the dead

oh, and really, if you REALLY wanna get creepped out listen to the song Frankie Teardrop in the dark with headphones on!
Whats got the whole world faking?
  • Slayer's 'Dead Skin Mask' always gave me the creeps
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all

Pearl Jam - "Hey Foxymophandlemama, That's Me"....for obvious reasons

for some reason, Marcy Playground's "Sex and Candy" is a bit creepy to me...I love the song, but it's weird...

Ben Folds Five's "Your Most Valuable Posession" while not really a song is very odd and creepy

    Maynard James - "Imagine"
    Conversations getting dull
There's a constant ringing in my ears
Sense of humor's void and numb
    And I'm bored to tears.......
  • What are the creepiest songs ever?

here are a few that I think are creepy:

    Frankie Teardrop...Suicide
    Dead Babies...Alice Cooper
    D.O.A...Bloodrock
    Season of the Witch...Vanilla Fudge
    Megalomania...Black Sabbath
    Electric Funeral...Black Sabbath

    What about you guys?

That is one of my favourite songs ever. As is 4th of July, which was also mentioned. I think both these songs are beautiful and I never tire of hearing them. I think as far as Superunknown goes, Half is faaaar creepier.

My vote for creepiest song is Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd. When my friends and I "partake in herbal enjoyment" I sometimes enjoy lip syncing it with a scary look upon my face and scaring them shitless. Good times...

Foxy mop. That song scared the hell out of me first time I heard it. Of course it didn't help that I was walking through a forest at night in november either. And Above by Mad Season always creeped me out for some reason.

My friend thinks Put Your Hands Up For Detroit by Fedde Le Grand is really creepy. One time we were playing it in a van, while some of my friends sat in the back of the car drinking, and when I had to stop for a yield sign he jumped out of the van all freaked out and wouldn't step inside again until we threw the cd away. I just thought he had smoked too much that night, but even the day after he found it disturbing. If anyone haven't heard it before:

And yeah I know. The song sucks.
