I said quite clearly in my post that I have seen them live, and it'd be quite a task to do so without hearing a single song.
I was also asked by a friend with awful taste in music to listen to their new album. I did so.
It was the worst, most insnsitive thing I have ever heard, especially "Cancer", that "song" couldn't be any more ridiculous or heavy handed if you wrote it on a brick and smashed me round the face with it.
The only "camps" here are those who like their music, thos who don't and thos who happen to think that it is an awful hatecrime perpetrated on mankind by a God that hates. I am in the latter.
i listened to the album last night. i dont care for it. it's not very good. but ive yet to hear any music that seems to arouse the kind of loathing you reserve for this band. you have to be in high school. it's the only time in life when one can be so pretentious about who's cool based on their music.
1) bawlers - tom waits

When did I say anything about being cool?
And sorry about my crap spelling/typing, wireless keyboard's batteries were practically dead.

Actually, I met quite a few people in college who were like this as well. They just got made fun of for it. So I guess you're right that HS is the only time you can get away with it

If you can listen to wolfmother. The Sword will blow your mind their album is age of winters.
My favorite new band this year by far. It sucks becasue like wolfmother all they are is a throwback to high on fire or black sabbath for that matter, but they just rock so damn hard i don't bitch about them ripping those bands off too much.
From austin TX The Sword- Age of Winters. check it out \m/
Band of horses was pretty cool too, but again they sound quite unorginal to me :( , but what they do play sounds very good. I think the funeral may be my favorite song of the year

"I try my best to chug, stomp, weep, whisper, moan, wheeze, scat, blurt, rage, whine, and seduce. With my voice I can sound like a girl, the boogieman, a Theremin, a cherry bomb, a clown, a doctor, a murderer. I can be tribal. Ironic. Or disturbed. My voice is really my instrument."

Whoa. You think 'Hail to the Thief' is a bad album? You are seriously on some crack.
Although you also think that the Pearl Jam release was one of the best albums of the year.
