What albums are you looking forward to in 08?

My list so far:

Metric
Portishead
R.E.M.
U2
Garbage
Dr. Dre - Detox
The Killers
Nine Inch Nails - Year Zero Part 2

I don't know, I guess there's not very much new music for me to look forward to, after all. Hopefully I'll discover some new bands soon.

    Alice in Chains
    Metallica

if those 2 are good, every other new album can kiss off as far as I'm concerned.

    Thrice- Alchemy Index Volumes 3 & 4
    Death Cab for Cutie (hopefully)
    Counting Crows
    Supergrass
    Scott Weiland

Not shaping up to be a great year for music, as none of my favorite bands are scheduled to release anything. Hopefully there will be some surprises though.
It makes much more sense to live in the present tense.

Sorry, I actually did search through the first 15 pages of this forum but I didn't see anything. But I could have missed it.
  • It's on the 7th page, and it was called "CD's Worth Waiting For"... it wasn't directly about 2008, but in all essence, that's what it was.

But whatev, it doesn't matter to me. A thread's a thread, haha.

Hold up, is Portishead really going to have a new album out? Or is it the usual rumor.

Not much else for me yet besides the Archives, Vol. 1, which has been on my list for the better part of two decades...

I hope it's not the usual rumor, but I have read on various sites that they are just finishing up in the studio. And they just played a live show in the UK.
