    This thread is for 2008. I voted for Smashing Pumpkins in the OP since they actually have had a release this year. But now I'm changing my vote to U2 even though I haven't heard it yet. But surely it's the best.

    suprised no one has said my fave, Acrade Fire - Neon Bible. I listened to this album 3 times back to back the first time I heard it and it's yet to get stale for me.

    Is "in rainbows" considered '08 since it came out hard copy on Jan1? if so, i'llpick that (so far) if not, i havent bought anything yet this year. Still digging '07 stuff.
