The Best 5 albums of 2008

Since we are now more than a third of the way through 2008, and a number of great albums have been released already, what are your 5 favorite albums of the year? I'm pretty sure mine are, in order:

1) Dresden Dolls - No, Virginia ( I never thought in a millions years I'd pick this one, but it's really great)
2) Goldfrapp - Seventh Tree
3) R.E.M. - Accelerate
4) Phantom Planet - Raise The Dead
5) Portishead - Third

    i think i would only choose 3: radiohead, the raconteurs and jack johnson

    ask again after the summer and im sure i could add o.a.r., coldplay, the verve and the fratellis

    This is bound to change as #'s 4 and 5 are enjoyable but probably won't stay in my top 5 once I've made a few more purchases.

    for a lot of us unable to download in rainbows it came out when we were able to go into a store and buy it in hardcopy.

    for me its not about being an anti-mp3 snob. but i am pro CD and as i don't actually own an mp3 player and the fact that my computer is shite, if i were to take a stand, it certainly wouldn't be pointless. however your ability to differentiate between vinyl 'enthusiasts' and supposed CD snobs is somewhat contradictory.
