Ah man, if he doesn't want to be famous he better stop being a genius.

He'll need to write more than one great album to be called that.

Absolutely love him! 'O' is phenomenal. I would love to see him with Fiona Apple.

Love, love, love him. He is incredible. Wish he'd come out with another album, though I doubt it could be as good as O. That was an incredible debut. I'm going to see him next month in Central Park. He and Fiona Apple are sharing the bill. Pretty psyched. My sister saw him a couple years ago and said he is amazing live. Nice to see a little Damo love around here.

    F#CK!!
Saw Fiona Apple in London the week before the Astoria...there was no opening act... would have been sooo cool to have Damien Rice.

concert was ok btw, but being in a theatre, it was strictly seated..I HATED that, I wanted to move GDI! I'd never been in a non GA gig before...never again

And FA is the anti-EV, didn't say more than 2 phrases in the whole show. I'll take Ed's rants any day... much more friendly

For what it's worth, I've seen him twice (London and Glastonbury) and his live show is absolutely incredible. So powerful, and his band is awesome too. Plus he does a mean version of Creep by Radiohead. :)

I'm debating going to see Fiona Apple just for Damien, and then leaving when he's done. No desire to see Fiona, but I love Damien Rice. Saw him at the Beacon in NYC in 2004 and he was amazing. I even went to this weird benefit concert at Carnegie Hall full of Tibetan monks chanting because he played two tunes.

You have to be kidding me.... that is the absolute worst song to use, did you not listen to the WHOLE song?

    Blowers Daughter

And so it is just like you said it would be
    Life goes easy on me
    most of the time
And so it is the shorter story
    No love, no glory
    No hero in her sky

I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off you
    I can't take my eyes...

And so it is just like you said it should be
    We'll both forget the breeze
    Most of the time
And so it is the colder water
    The Blower's Daughter
    The pupil in denial

I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off you
    I can't take my eyes...

Did I say that I loathe you?
Did I say that I want to
    Leave it all behind?

I can't take my mind off of you
I can't take my mind off you
I can't take my mind off of you
I can't take my mind off you
I can't take my mind off you
    I can't take my mind...
    my mind...my mind...

Nope...not kidding you...my friend bought his album beofre he got big and got me hooked on it...they both love the album, and decided to use it Blowers Daughter as their wedding song before it was used in the movie "Closer". We all knew about the last part of the song and my job was to tell the DJ when to stop playing the song so that part doest get played
