this song is my favorite song ever by any band BESIDES PEARL JAM..out of everything excluding pj, this song is godly. just un-fucking-believeable. the vocals are out of this world, the jams are amazing..so edgy..and the lyrics ahhh those lyrics..just something about this song just makes me ahhh i cant even describe it..just that chorus - "she lived like a murder, how she flyed so sweetly, she lived like murder, but she died..just like suicide" ahh and the way chris sings it is so amazing..without a doubt in my mind, best soundgarden song ever..who agrees? or at least has some major love for this song?

    haha oh well..

but listen to it then post back..

tell me if it just gives you the chills..i mean theres something about it..i cant tell what it is..it just has the most perfect edge to it.. i must post the lyrics now

    Heard it from another room
Eyes were waking up just to fall asleep
    Love's like suicide
Dazed out in a garden bed
With a broken neck lays my broken gift
    Just like suicide

    And my last ditch
    Was my last brick
    Lent to finish her
    Finish her

Bit down on the bullet now
I had a taste so sour
I had to think of something sweet
    Love's like suicide
    Safe outside my gilded cage
    With an ounce of pain
I wield a ton of rage
    Just like suicide

    With eyes of blood
    And bitter blue
    How I feel for you
    I feel for you

    She lived like a murder
    How she'd fly so sweetly
    She lived like a murder
    But she died
    Just like suicide

if you've heard the accoustic version that is very good too, but i much prefer the 'superunknown' album version for the edgy-er more yelling-ish vocals, and the heavy jams at the end..

Like Suicide is good but it's not the best Soundgarden song ever nor is it the best on Superunknown. Slaves & Bulldozers has always been their strongest work to me.

eh all opinion i guess. to me it's my favorite.. but slaves & bulldozers is hardcore man that shit rocks too! boot camp is another tune thats up there for me..along with limo wreck, and tighter & tighter.. ok now i'm startin to get carried away.

anyways, i stick with this as my fav soundgarden tune.

wow this is cool..its not my fav song of all time only because pearl jam topples that category by miles, BUT like i said, not counting pearl jam, defiitely this tune. dude but tell me..what is it about it that is so amazing? because i havent figured out what draws me to it so much.

The song is about a bird hitting a window at Chris' house and accidentally killing itself. If you can track down the solo acoustic cornell version of the song (it's a b side), you should.

My personal faves: the song 'superunknown' and 'zero chance' (I was lucky enough to hear this song at the minneapolis Cornell show last weekend).

Oh god I heard about him playing that for the first time. If stuff I've heard from him lately is any indication it must have been incredible.

absolutely brilliant song. I love the lyrics and I love cornell's vocals.

This is proabably my favorite Soundgarden song but, has anyone else noticed it sounds a lot like Neil Young's Fuckin Up???? I noticed it for the first time the other day in the opening, before Chris comes in.

Tough call. Like some have already said 'Limo Wreck' is pretty damn good.
Got a bit of a thing for 'Pretty Noose', think it's a great song.
I listen to SG quite often, so my fave seems to change. 'Holy Water' is top right now.
