I'd say as a lyricist, JBJ has a slight edge over Axl... they both consistently write average lyrics, but JBJ has a few songs that are a little bit better lyrically than Axl's best songs. Both can sing very well, but comparing their singing is like comparing apples and oranges. And JBJ can play guitar better than Axl can play the piano, so...
