Today (April 7, 2008) marks the 75th anniversary of the federal repealing of prohibition. Since some of our Southern forefathers made a career for themselves and planted the seeds of a multi-billion dollar racing circuit out of the days of bootlegging moonshine, I think we have much to rejoice over in the South today. First, because prohibition is gone, and second, because it made us famous for something.

Pollen season is almost finished here in Florida.

One more reason to be thankful for springtime in the South: we are the first to have allergy problems every year.

Yes we did, over 8" in some parts. It made for a good weekend of watching MSG DVD a couple of times. Just getting ready for Tampa!
