Another Chamber of Commerce day in The Dirty South.
All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.

I talked with a fellow last night who is interested in promoting some concerts in our fair town of Tallahassee. He asked me to give him a few names of bands I'd like to see come to play here, so you know the first one I told him?

    That's right...Drive-by Truckers.

'Cause Pearl Jam would only come here if the tour bus needed gas between Tampa and Bonnaroo.

Cool- didn't they come to the Beta Bar about a year or so ago? I could be wrong. Well, it looks like the Tally meet-up is a bust, oh well, maybe another time. I'm still thinking about going though- it all depends on the money situation. What about you?

DBT played the festival out at Quincy Farms two or three years ago. Can't remember if they have played in Live Oak or not. Jason Isbell, formerly of DBT, played a solo gig at the Beta Bar last fall.

Don't give up on the Tallahassee meet-up. We'll go to St. Michael's Pub and have a few brews. You can meet my wife, who will also have a few brews. Then we'll go next door and see X. Maybe they'll play Lukin or Spin the Black Circle, but probably not. :D

They did play the farm a couple of years ago- that's it- my wife went solo and she told me that she loved them. We were going to go see Jason Isbell last year at the Beta Bar, but I think we passed because it was during the week.

So you still wanna do the X show? That's cool. I was just hoping that more people would come out. It's the last day of school for me- I'm a teacher, I can't remember is I've mentioned that before, so May 30th will be a celebration for me either way. I'll talk to my wife about it again, but I'm not sure if she will be able to come out. She loves the Beta Bar, but she can't take the smokey bars/clubs anymore- plus she's not much of a drinker anymore either.

And I'm not holding my breath on hearing any PJ, but if they did play some, that would be pretty sweet.

You know, I've never been to St. Michaels before- is that the old Cow House?

This Sunday night, I'm going to see Hurt w/ Course of Nature at Floyds- it should be a pretty good show. I can't wait!

Pj coming out with new album is the best news that I've heard since 10 club confirmed "no more shows planned". Forthcoming tour to promote album...another chance.

    To: Pearl Jam Promotions Department

    From: Callen

    Subject: New Album Promotion

    Dearest PJ Promo Dept.

Consider following schedule to promote next album. Good for the wonderful band along with their very supporting fans.

First Leg: Gorge 2 Shows. Warm up.

Second Leg: South.....and not just east coast. We need the love. No shows in NE or West Coast. Those fkers got cash...can head south. :)

Third leg: Canada (those bastards rock the shit out....can't pass them up).

Fourth leg: Go overseas. Your pick...think British isles would be good....maybe even the Ausies. Course my south american brothers and sisters would be appreciative.

Rest 12 Months for next album tour.

If you'd like assistance in planning, please let me know...have experience. Wages not necessary.

    With love
