If (and I mean IF) Bonnaroo is some part of a multiple show swing by Pearl Jam, how much time do they honestly have left to burn before setting their logistics and announcing show dates, times, and ticket info?

Think about it with me, using Tom Petty and Radiohead for examples. TP&TH are touring heavy this summer in amphitheatres and stadiums. Their dates run through August and are already on-sale. Radiohead is locked to tour Europe in June and July. They have announced the cities that they'll play in North America both before and after Europe. So that means they have been scheduling holds on--what I suspect are--amphis and arenas (though they have not made specifics public).

Considering those two, I think Pearl Jam:

    A. has no plans to tour in a broad sense around the time of Bonnaroo
    B. will play only a fan club show in Nashville just before Bonnaroo, and
    C. plans to do a run of dates later in the year to help get out the vote

But I'm just making a slightly educated guess. I have nothing concrete to support that.

Hey, at least we're getting the Bonnaroo show.

    .

Wanted to give rhinomagic some credit where credit was due.

Once again, I agree with Dangerboy

By the way, where does your profile name come from, I'm curious. There used to be a TV show on back in the day called Danger Mouse that rocked! Every time I see your name on here, I think about that show :)

I made Anthony Bourdain laugh today. We went to his book signing (my first) and got our 15 seconds with him as he signed our book.
We watched him sign, smile politely, sign, pose for a picture, smile politely, sign, sign, smil politely... He sure does have that smile down.

My husband blurts out, "you've been in my country, Portugal!"
Bourdain says, "yes, yes." (looks politely bored) and then I lean in and say, "Now, will you please stay OUT of Portugal?"
He looks up shocked and says, "Huhh?"
And I say, "Because we don't want anyone else to know about it."
    He starts cracking up.
At least we didn't get that tight ,polite smile....

Of course, I thanked him for one of the only quality shows on tv and we pushed along. sigh... the life of celebs.

he looked good... wanted to ask him if he finally quit smoking yet...

Thanks for the love, guys. But I don't think I broke any new ground way back when. I just wanted Pearl Jam to tour and was trying to imagine how they could get it done with little time to spare. I'm glad they found a way.

Since I've been away while everyone has been discussing tour plans, here's mine:

I was fortunate enough to score tickets to the 6/24 MSG show. My wife and I may be able to attend the 6/25 show with some friends who live in Brooklyn, but we're going to try the general public sale. As for FL, I was hoping the 10C would have them on-sale for another few days so that I can weigh my options. However, I would gladly split a pair to either or both shows in FL--because my wife doesn't really need 4 PJ shows in a month (but I might ;) ).

No matter what, I'm/we're seeing Pearl Jam this summer. That makes it a GREAT summer.
