    North Florida/South Georgia had some severe weather last week, too. Gotta love that warm gulf air colliding with cooler air from the north...

    PJ could mount a tour down here to benefit victims of severe weather. In this thread, we can spin ANYTHING!

    Guess it was the wind.....no other damage....appears that the tree was pretty hollow near the base. Lightning is possible, but I didn't see any signs of a strike. Lots of static electricity in the air this A.M. around 3:30.

    The city is going to remove the tree since the alley belongs to them.

    Don't laugh....I have been known to attempt to photograph lightning...which you basically have to do at night. :D

    I've seen lots of amazing lightning photography (what lightning photography is NOT amazing?) from Florida and from desert locales as well. It's a brilliant way to capture natural phenomena.

    How about a crawfish boil? That ain't crazy--it's just a good time, too. ;)
