    Hi Stoneg... things have quieted down now for me ... both boys are at college and the only event I face now is a business trip to San Diego in Sept. Other than working a lot, I feel like I am on vacation. Last time I went to San Diego, I saw Pearl Jam there.. in 2003.

    just out of curiosity, why is the NFL suspending Vick the "right thing" to do?

    if he's served his jail time, he's repaid his debt to society and should be able to continue to earn a living by playing football if he so chooses

    He also broke the rules of the league.....conduct rules and the dreaded gambling taboo. I think that additional punishment by the league is due in this case. He also lied to the Commish's face about this situation in April.

    True, about that....but from everything I've been reading I meant on a more longterm scale. It seems that people want his NFL career to be over and I thought that's what was implied. I don't think he should be banned from the NFL because of this.

    The strength of the "ban" will depend a lot on the gambling issue, which under NFL bylaws, illegal gambling=permanent ban.

    Been down here 25 years and never once ran into shrimp & grits combo. As a matter of fact, pretty hard to find grits, period.

    Now, if PJ had any grit they would have played down here already.
