“Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you’ve got about a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies — ‘God damn it, you’ve got to be kind.’” - Kurt Vonnegut

To all three of you, you HAVE to see The Shins. One of the most fun and enjoyable gigs I have ever been to. It was even worth standing in the scorching sun, getting dehydrated and having some fat guy rubbing his sweaty armpit in my face to see Caring is creepy live :D
"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"

You'd think I'd have seen them live. They're from my town. But everytime they play a show, tickets are gone before I even know about it :(. Although I did see them at the My Morning Jacket show hanging out in the bar drinking. :)

shins are good live. I've seen them twice.

I was most impressed at the ladies at the concert. They by far have the hottest girls at any show i've been to. Just making an observation.

Built to Spill and Bright Eyes are about the only bands left that I really want to see but haven't. Ticked everyone else off my list.

"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

The National, Sigur Ros and Okkervil River are all playing at a two day festival in Gothenburg Sweden 7-8:th Aug....and my sister decided to get married the 8:th :( I'll probably have to ask her to puspone the wedding

The National is after PJ the best band I've ever seen live.

Havent seen but would love to see...i think in about this order:
    Wolf Parade
    A Perfect Circle
    The Shins
    Arcade Fire
Band of Horses...seeing them in a week though :)
    Rage Against the Machine
    White Stripes
    Sigur Ros
Explosions in the Sky...seeing them in Stockholm in May
    Death Cab
    Feist
    The Decemberists
    Dinosaur Jr
    Modest Mouse
    Mudhoney
    TV on the Radio
    Metallica

that is unfortunate timing....if your sis really loves you, postponing her wedding is the least she can do for ya ;)

....you MUST see Arcade Fire in concert if you get a chance - by FAR the greatest live band I have ever seen....I've been to hundreds of shows and none have even come close

thought of a few more for my must see list:

    MY BLOODY VALENTINE
    TV On The Radio
    Destroyer
    Iron & Wine
    the Magnetic Fields
    Mojave 3
In my world everyone is a pony,
